Donnie Darko Frank the Bunny - Original Mold

Wow such an awesome thread Art. Frank's mask is such an iconic costume piece and pretty relevant at the moment with the whole end of the world talk about the end of this week.
his is also pretty relevant to my interestes because I just studied Donnie Darko on the Teen Hollywood Cinema module of my Film Studies course at University. It's such a great film on so many different levels.

can't wait to see the final images, on the top of my movie list and I've always wanted to have a accurate head to mount on my fireplace.

Just pulled the final prototype out of the box and snapped ONE quick pic because I just can't wait! Will have a full photo set up next Wednesday, but for now, this will have to do. I am absolutely BEYOND thrilled with the end result and that is saying something because I am rarely happy with anything. I am still waiting on the custom acrylic base to finish this off, but the base prop is complete. Thanks to all the RPF members who helped make this a reality! This is one of my top 5 props and I never thought I would have something that looked this close in my collection!

I don't want to talk about sales outside the Junkyard, but I have had a ton of people write and ask if I would offer a raw casting or a kit. Because these are DIRECTLY from the mold and because there are collectors with screenused originals, I want to minimize the chance of these being mistaken for an original and I don't want to make it any easier than possible to recast, so unfortunately, no, I will not offer any raw or unfinished castings.

yea a finished piece would make me happy as well (even if you had to do something so it could not be confused with an original.)

Really amazing piece Art. So iconic, glad that mold is in the right hands. Amazing you ended up with it, someone who won't take advantage of it. Another person would have flooded Ebay with castings. Even though i want one it would have destroyed the true collectors market.

Yup. That will be next, but probably won't get to work on that until March since we are trying to get these masks done.
