waiting longer means higher quality ;-)
Man, how I wish I had your optimism!
Experience has taught me when a project runs long, there's a problem.
Longer means, loss of interest.
Longer means, the project has taken a backseat to something else.
Longer means, eventual panic causing the project to be rushed out with less quality.
No, when communication stops, then there is a problem.Experience has taught me when a project runs long, there's a problem.
I think this is only the case when communication gets worse, or stops totally (like I mention above).Longer means, loss of interest.
Here I agree. I think indeed this run got delayed because Sarednab and his team are doing quite a lot of other runs. This indeed can be questioned: why not finish runs in chronological order? Technical complexity can be an argument there. But I don't want to go into that discussion, because to me, time (up to a certain level) is no issue. I'm prepared to wait 2 years for a prop (not 5 years).Longer means, the project has taken a backseat to something else.
So that's the reason never to rush people. Whenever you rush a propmaker to deliver sooner, this will impact the quality. I don't want to make any compromise regarding quality. If higher quality can be achieved by waitinf for two extra months, I don't mind... Off course, all has to be within reasonable timeframes. A prop that is promised within 6 months, should not take 5 years to be finished. That's not reasonable.Longer means, eventual panic causing the project to be rushed out with less quality.
