Oh that was War Machine. I didin't like the a lot of the parts and the resin I used wasn't the greatest in relation to the cardstock and fiberglass mat. It wasn't strong enough for me to be happy with it. It was very tedious to coat each part on the inside. How come you didn't like your last mark III? it looked fine in one of your videos on youtube!
Thank youthats awsome
I'll see how it goes and decide based on how the sculpt turns out.
I dunno if I can get it movie accurate really. I"ll at least make it "mine" in a sense, if you know what I mean.
I agree only way to go, put your style into it. :thumbsup If you need the bolts for the helmet details LMK and i'll cast you up a set and send em out.![]()
Define "movie accurate"I've spent a LOT of time researching the MK III for my build. There's the ILM CGI costume. There's the costume RDJ wore (parts of). And I'm pretty sure there was a couple different versions of that costume (I've stared at so many pix that my eyes are crossed!), as I've seen variations in the hip pods, knee joints, and other details (BTW, anyone notice that "grid" where the faceplate/jaw meet is in some models and not others?).
What I'm driving at is, make it your own!

Exactly. It looks ultra fitted to his head in proportion to the suit.QFT.
There's like 6 different versions if you really look and some (CGI) look very off and there would be no way a real person could wear it even if it was built.![]()
Question for Stealth,.. When you say the last stuff you used was to weak and then resin+fibercloth is better, Are you talking about Smoothcast? I could have swore it was your video I watched talking about Smoothcast because of the "no fumes" and just as strong. I only ask because I am making a WarMachine costume for my son and was planning to get Smoothcast 321 tomorrow at the Engineer Guy here in ATL.
Has anyone else had problems with Smoothcast? Seemed like such a great idea.
