Greetings! Just wanted to show yall my nearly finished Biker Scout bucket. I've always loved the style of the scouts, and wanted one of their helms more than anything. I am always seduced by prices over screen accuracy and such. Im not tryin to join the 501st or anything like that. I just wanted my helmet to look the part. So i followed some of the methods used over at bikerscout.net, and modded my 60$ Don Post bucket, into sumthing im quite proud of.
Heres the pics:
Delivered
Oh the glee!
Started by adding a 65 degree bar to the chin
The tutorials called for putty, but I wanted more flexibility, so I went with silicone
Looked great, but now the visor was all over the place
Clamped it down and siliconed the entire edge, inside and out
Boom, shaping done!
Heres a pic of a screen used one for comparison
So. Next up is getting better looking bolts for the hinge, filling off the don post plate on the back, and getting correct fish-hook decal. And finding a good lens replacement. Maybe weathering..........lol
