Didn't take many pictures along the way but the base is some wood cut with grooves to accept a bottom plate and frosted plexiglass. Lights added to the bottom, plexiglass cut and glued up for the top. Not perfect but it came out pretty well for being on a budget of about $100.

Looks fantastic!!! After all the crap that went down I really like how the EFX looks.

I'm still on the fence on excitement with everything that went down, but am glad to have one. The build was fun.

Milo Talon - Excellent display! Can you share a bit more about making the plexiglass cover? I've debated making something similar, but that has part has always been the stumbling block. Any tips?

Cuts just like tile, score with a razor using a ruler as a guide and bend to snap it. Can also be cut with a table saw by its not as clean. Sand smooth and use the right kind of welding acrylic glue. This is an older video but helped me a lot. Use small bits of tape to keep everything lined up. It's a lot easier than I thought it'd be once you have all the pieces cut.

I've also been experimenting with some stands and using heat to bend, a dremel to drill and carve. Been using 1/8" and just playing around a bit. I'd recommend buying a small amount and just experiment. For boxes the orientation for measurements matter. Stands aren't perfect but it's fun. Check Amazon and local suppliers, no need to buy the overpriced sheets at homedepot or lowes.

Keep experimenting, sometimes you end up with a cool way to display a rancor tooth
