DOJ Armoured Batman with undersuit

I made the helmet out of the same type of foam, my first foam template build. It gets difficult if your a beginner that's for sure. Nice work.

Most definitely! I teach a seminar on pep, and I ALWAYS suggest starting with something simple like a codpiece or handplate until you have your scaling technique down. Nothing worse than putting effort into a helmet only to find it doesn't fit!

Woooow!! This looks awesome! Can't wait to see it with some paint!
Thank you, kind lady:) I'll be attacking it with wood filler tmrw, then painting it and attaching it together-can't wait!

Whew! Soooooo much wood filler! Why, you ask? Well, I tried an experiment. I hoped that expandable caulking foam might make a good coating, easy to sand, prime, paint, etc. Bottom line is: it sands, but takes a while, and the finished texture is kinda velvet-like. Hence, the wood filler. So, busy sanding, and doing lots of fiddley bits: magnetic closures to the utility belt pouches, etc. Got just under two weeks to finish! IMG_2506.JPGIMG_2507.JPG

Chest and shoes painted. Actually, everything is painted now, I'm just filling in some random holes and then adding the lights this weekend!IMG_2514.JPGIMG_2515.JPG

This looks cool! I'd love to see a picture of the entire suit with the weathering. What kinds of paint are you using for the metallic finish?

Rustoleum hammered finish in pewter. I will be posting finished pics when it's done.
