Doctor Who suit comparison (Baron/Magnoli)

My place is double that, but the quality has been great so far! One swatch away I think and I will be posting my run.

I absolutely cannot WAIT! Looking forward to it, just have to learn how to attach a liner and I can sew the whole thing myself. Maybe I can trace the pieces of my Magnoli suit onto some paper to make a pattern without taking it apart, anybody ever tried that?

does anyone know if magnoli would be willing to make his suit using fabric bought from this run? if so how much do you think would be required?

I heard that he was more than happy to do that - but gave absolutely no discount for you providing your own fabric, which is annoying since you will probably have to get a local tailor to adjust the suit to fit you when you get it.

Yea, he will do it, as said up above, he still charges you for the fabric he doesn't use, but at least he doesn't gouge you the extra $175 or whatever for accurate fabric that probably costs the same as the other stuff.

Magnoli don't breathe with out charging for the oxygen!

I know several times where the received good were not up to scratch and he offered to fix ti 'for a reduced rate' - ie CHARGE for putting his mistakes right.
Which is a little cheeky.

So to use your own fabric you have to pay to buy it - pay to ship it to China - still pay for the fabric they then don't use - then possibly have to pay for him to fix anything if it ain't right.

Hummmmm.

but for a person with tremors in both hands and as such can not sew it's worth it to have the suit be as accurate as possible.
