Done / Completed Doctor Who Machined Classic Sonic Kits/Completed Units

For the ones going out this week, will we receive a tracking number once our finished sonic ships?
 
My completed Baker sonic arrived unexpectedly today--thanks, Bluebox! Looks very nice, and well constructed. The paint on the halo looks good, too! Here are a few quick phone pics:

Finished the painting, all 3 are done. Here's the Pertwee. I based it on the toy, which is pictured alongside. The painting was elaborate, but not onerous. I used rattlecan rustoleum metal paint for prime and finish.

However the top spiral stripe and the 6 vertical stripes around the base were not something I was going to do -- so I used thin black vinyl car detailing stripe and it worked perfectly.

BY contrast the Baker and Davison paint jobs were easy-peasy.

So these are in the process of shipping out as a whole or just a few at a time? Just curious! :) Is there spacers on the non-Pertwee's or something to achieve the lower neck/halo effect? Wasn't sure how that worked?
 
Just got mine! Love it! The spring is a little stronger than I think it needs to be, but obviously that can be changed.

Should the magnet on the halo be free spinning? I dont think the red screw was tightened on mine, but wasnt sure if it was supposed to be that way.

When the head is extended, should the little spacer ring stay on the top or bottom of the post? Mine moves around freely.

When extending the head, I assume it is supposed to be turned any way you want like it does? It seems tighter when it is turned one way or another.

What is the best glue to use on this? The entire head easily pulled off of mine and I need to glue it back to the extension rod. I kind of wish the head screwed onto the rod somehow.

I'm curious with them unexpectedly showing up are the last of them going out or some still in the works? Been watching in case but also out/working so would be good to know! :)

Bluebox303 hasn't posted in the thread in a while even though he's been online recently, and I haven't received a reply to my PM yet. Just want to figure out if I need to start looking elsewhere for a 4th Doctor sonic.

Nope, I've messaged a couple of times and posted here but not heard back...was just kinda looking for where everything stood currently. I assume he's busy and I don't necessarily need them in a hurry necessarily but curious since I know some have gone out I wanted to know when to be on the lookout for them.
 
I got my package for two completed sonics doctors 3 & 5 but got 3 & 4. Sent a pm right away and no answer as of yet. Number 3 is broken :-(
 
Yeah. I had missing parts in my fourth sonic kit. I posted here about it & had a lot of contact for about a day. He did say the parts would ship that weekend.

After numerous PMs ,& several weeks, I sent a last PM with my displeasure over the situation. He responded in just a little bit & said my parts had shipped. I got them five days later.

Don't get me wrong, the Sonic is great. Clean work & well put together, but the communication, or should I say lack of, is absolutely atrocious! Nothing gets me fired up more than sending PMs, seeing that they've been read & ignored, seeing the person on here several times over days, & STILL not getting a response. That happened several times over a month with this situation.

It really is a shame, cause the product itself is great, but some basic courtesy & social skills go a long way with me. I had considered getting a fifth doctor sonic, & jumping in on the Master's laser screwdriver run too, but now I'm going to have to think about it a bit harder.
 
Exactly, I'm not even in a big rush which is why I held off but I've sent a couple of pm's over the last week and posted here a couple of times with no response... Assuming I'm not the only one I've tried to wait before trying again but would be nice to know something...
 
Ok I got word, yay! Guess Bluebox has been out of town but said he's going to try and get out the remaining orders by Thursday so here's hoping, can't wait to check them out! :)
 
I agree with Hugo. Got my completed Pertwee today. The finish product is a bit shabby but valiant effort. I wouldn't have the missing piece to my collection without this run. Thanks for that. I can always touch it up later. The metal quality is so-so compared to my other sonics.
