I just wraped piece of foam around wrist for snug fit, put some velcro to have it removable, dremeled lines into foam, plastic dipped and painted. Pretty simple but makes it flow together better. If u guys like that just wait till u guys see what im workin on for inner elbow. and ofcourse I'll explain how i did it. Thats why I made this thread to show u guys what a foam costume can really look like so any way I can help dnt hesitate to ask:D

i wanted to know do you just put the bondo and fiberglass resin mixed 50/50 directly on the foam or do you seal it with something else before ?

Thanks dude n I first coat it with spraycan modpodge to seal the foam. Dont put the mix or anything before sealing it or else you'll run into problems. Youll know its sealed when it looks shiny.

how many coat of rondo do you apply and do you prime it before paint ?
after mixing the fiberglass resin and the bondo do we need to apply it immediatly ? or it takes some time to become unuseanble ?

Re: Ironman Mark VII coated with rondo, pics of shoulder painted, now its comin toget

Is there somewhere you can get rondo in the uk? if not, is there a way to make it yourself?

Re: Ironman Mark VII coated with rondo, pics of shoulder painted, now its comin toget

Looks great mate, the things you can do with foam now is incredible. Love the paint work as well.

MattcorneIM - You dont buy Rondo you make it, its a mixture of body filler and fiberglass resin. Just go to fast parts or halfords and pick up both, mix them together 50/50 and add a spot of hardner.

I usually apply 2 coats but if I screw up 3 n thats the most. And dont forget when applying rondo do thin coats so you wont lose detail. yes I primer everything before painting for paint to bond better, after I mix in the hardner really well i start applying immediatly. I just use the bondo hardner not resin hardner cuz it slows curing time so I can coat the whole piece.

I make it myself and exactly what welshwarrior and omarbou said its mixed together.

tell you the truth i dont measure i just eyeball it n add hardner till its a good pinkish color. If you put hardner n looks red you put to much n if it looks still kinda grey ya didnt add enough. I posted pics of pieces with rondo to show color and the first step is mix bondo and resin really well. I tilt container with to see if it moves down slowly n if it doesnt I add more resin. Step 2 is add hardner mix it really well till mix is all same color. Step 3 start brushing it on. pretty much it just after ya get rondo into seams n crevices smooth it out with brush n leave it alone it will self level. good luck
