Re: Doc's Foam Ironman + finally the Mark 8 boots,Vid of arc reactor and now Warmachi

Hey Doc,
Been reading through this thread and the balance of your suit on is great. With that I was wondering, you did mention that you used Darkside501st design, what scale did you set yours at.

Thanks in advance.

Doc....are you soldering lines into the foam? There are some detail lines in your work that look great. Your arms and chest pieces have these lines

I scale it at whatever the size of customer so maybe tell me your height and I can give ya an idea

Have you tried this stuff? I plan on trying this on my next foam build, I'm told it gives a good finish.

Your warmachine helm looks great... how did you get the foam face plate to look like one piece? To me it looks like just a top and bottom piece but the contours on the cheek and eyes look perfect. Are you working off a template or something homebrew?

Its hard to tell ya the exact amount cuz it depends on the size of your suit, the colors of your suit but for the warmachine I used four 8oz cans. Then if you use primer, ya might just have to estimate what you think ya might need.

Re: Doc's foam Ironman and now Warmachine completed video!

i'm about 173cm tall thats about 5feet 8 inches. im using plastidip instead of pva glue to seal the foam and adhesive promoter to prime it. the colors are nissan steel grey k50 and silver metallic color code 12
but our spray cans have a volume of 400ml (12oz).

I had to get the cans in 8oz just cuz gunmetal only came in that size.
