DL-44 Blaster

I believe I saw those directions somewhere, although the ones I saw said to remove the inner step completely. I would think that would make the grips drift around, but I haven't seen the gun myself. I'll probably get the Denix from blast-tech as I know I can trust that site and shipping is included in their price. As for the wood grips, I'm thinking ebay right now, but if anybody knows anyplace cheaper than $37 I'd appreciate the info.

So by those instructions you actually file off the whole in-step, so don't the grips drift around or slip off the frame?

... The airsoft is not an M96 either its based on the other version of the mauser which number evades me at the moment :confused!!

You're thinking the number 712, as in Schnellfeuer M712.
Often copied by many countries.
Chambered for .45 ACP by the Chinese.
Gold-plated Plug Fire Capsule by Marushin.
ABS kit by MGC to build PFC.
All metal 6mm airsoft by HFC.

Some RPF people have built blaster replicas around this version before.

Yea, my current blaster is made out of the all metal airsoft by HFC. Although I just sent payment for that previously mentioned Denix, so I'll be updating this thread with new photos soon hopefully.

Hey, I finished working on v2 a few days ago and then got really busy, so here are a couple pics. Big thanks to Ripcode for the excellent Denix.

I painted the scope and cylinder half silver and sanded down the denix, then coated everything in Krylon semi-flat black (I love having a Grainger 2 miles from my apartment). The minor wear it's gotten from the holster looks great, as the silver shows through even on the non-metallic parts. I'll be picking up some wood grips eventually, but for now I'm happy with it.

Does anybody know how to get those little detail pieces on the cylnider side? They look kind of like oddly shaped washers and screws, but I don't know where to get them as they don't come in any kits as far as I know. Also, can larger scope bolts be purchased in a Home Depot or someplace easy like that?

Nice job , looks much better :thumbsup

And cheers for the info mgoob ,712 yeah i knew that honest :lol

By the way here's the resin side plates i mentioned to go on the cheap plastic airsofts
