I also found an alternative to Ultracal30 here in the UK. It's called Cassini's plaster (£6.45 for 5kg).
So maybe we need a product list
In Australia there is ERA who make a cold cast clear elastomer that whilst it is quite expensive, but does not have any nasty fumes and can be ordered in any shore hardness you need. This stuff works if you can get the heat into it during curing. When I made my clear soles, the material was less than 5mm, so the exotherm (heat) escaped and it took forever to cure.
I am looking into Aluminite who also make a CCCE that seems to be much cheaper, however I've heard it smells a bit. I've not used the product so can not really comment any further.
