Disneyland Auction - Van Eaton Galleries

Everything in the article says 'auction', including estimated values of some items, and the date/time that the live auction is taking place.. If it was a fixed-price sale, they wouldn't have value estimates...

Per the Van Eaton Galleries ad:

"Van Eaton Galleries is proud to present the exclusive sale..."

I took that to mean they were advertising a sale with set prices and not an auction.

You are correct about the LA Times article Rik. However, the Times has gotten their facts wrong with their reporting in the past so it is a bit confusing as to what Van Eaton is doing.

Oh, ha! I didn't notice them calling it a 'sale' on their website. That is weird... Seems like a lot of auction related info in the Times article tho, so it probably is supposed to be an auction... :)
