Disney wants more 'Star Wars' in its theme parks

That 4 hour time limit will only be up until June 23rd from what I’ve read. I’m not going to be experiencing GE in Anaheim but will be going in Orlando so I’m curious to see what kinks they can iron out between the two openings.

I want to go, but no way will I wait 4 fricken hours for a ride. I'm thinking that this area won't be realistic to visit until at least 2021 due to the popularity.

Money is the key here, more crap with no substance to the Star Wars universe that has been manicure, perfected and exquisitely detailed--destroy it all for money. Thanks Disney.

What's to see, some model ships, toy and collectable shops, some food vendors and 2 indoor rides.
If you skip the rides then 4 hours is more than enough time.

Just read over on Disney and More that you have a 4 hour time limit in the land before being escorted out by apple quacks (storm troopers).

That could be a lot of fun, actually !
I can see this becoming a thing with fans on social media - who can overstay their time the longest, evading storm troopers, before being thrown out.

Don't forget, there's supposed to be tons of interactive elements scattered throughout the land as well. So as you walk from shop to shop to restaurant, to ride(s) there's supposed to be all kinds of things that can scan and/or look up. Sort of like how you were supposed to be able to translate the runes inside the Indy show building, until they changed the way the que worked and now you go through the building too quick to have time to translate anything. So with GE everything will be (supposedly) scattered throughout the land and not in a ride's que area.

That's what I had thought. Although I still want to know how they plan to enforce the time limit.

They're supposed to be using color coded wristbands so, presumably the Stormtroopers will be briefed what the color of the hour is and look for that color. Of course, the problem with this is that it's easily defeated by a long sleeve shirt or hoody over the wristband. What they might do is is letting in only one group of guests every 4 hours, announce their time is up (although that would break the immersion that they're working so hard on and after letting in the next group, the Stormies will be on the look out for wristbands of a particular color.

Posted over on Disney and More is a pic of the wrist band with your time slot printed on it.

I'm on my phone and haven't figured out the whole post image thing yet.

To complete the 'immersion experience' overstayers are unceremoniously thrown into a sarlacc pit (or trash compactor; depending on area found) and then slimed.
