He is awesome !! What a great job !!Finished bird talking
Would you be willing to seek the head model for the tiki bird?I was asked to create something for the first East coast Disney convention in 2019. I decided on Jose from the Enchanted Tiki Room. This has already been completed but I was asked again to create something else for the next one. The 2020 show has been cancelled till next year which gives me another year to create something good to show.
I started by having a 3D head created and then printed. It didn't turn out so good so I ended up sculpting most of it. The body is made of fiberglass.

The mouth uses a micro servo and the 3 axis neck uses 2 micro servos to make the head go up and down or tilt left and right. The neck also has a full size servo to turn the head left or right and another full size servo to lift the whole body up/down. Then a little one for the stump. it took a while to shoehorn them all in. There is also one down in the base to rotate the whole body. I hope that answers your question.I'm really curious to know what you were using for mechanics in such a small space. I've worked with servos, but nothing that compact before. That looks beautiful!
It should be fixed now.The video doesn't work anymore. Can you repost it? It looks very cool.
If you don't mind my asking, what did you sculpt the head out of? I've been trying to use air dry clay but it just cracks, any suggestions?I was asked to create something for the first East coast Disney convention in 2019.
