Not sure how to feel about this. While they will stream Doctor Who (very cool). They will also contribute financially in a joint collaboration with the BBC.

While I'm wary to take them directly at their word, they have said that they are only contributing the streaming rights outside the U.K. and Ireland, as well as also giving the show a major budget increase. RTD will still be in control of the show's writing and direction, so it's doubtful Disney will do anything to change the writing, though with what they've been doing with stuff like Andor lately, I would be curious to see what they could add to the show.
