Just popped into the Disney Store and picked up the Die-Cast X-wings.

The accuracy looks to be better than the recent Revell models.

I'm not certain of the size of the full scale studio prop, but a quick search yielded a result of 10.7 metres. This toy is about 138 millimetres in length, so the scale would be about 1:77 to 1:78.

Check out www.disneystore.com and just search for "x-wing die cast". They're about the same size as the rest of their die-cast SW line, except for Kylo's Shuttle.

It's pretty sad that the diecast toys are better looking that the model kits we're getting. Want to bet Disney tries to stop the import of the Bandai kits? I know that the US owners of Robotech have been going after importers of japanese macross kits.

Let's hope that doesn't happen. There was some talk about Disney doing that before, but it ended up as speculation, because no hard facts were found, just rumors.
