Die Cast Lighted 1/350th TOS Enterprise (TOMY crowd funded)

People may be asking on the last post about the Enterprise. They probably are not answering it but I hope they are aware people are not too happy. Hopefully it's just a sample and not finished. The pictures were not well done. We will know for sure next month.
Like I said, the last post is a year old.

Either way hopefully next months update will have us all better informed. Not sure when actual production must begin to meet the November deadline, but I am trying to be hopeful that all expectations will be met before then.

If they need to extend the deadline to get things right I’d be into that too. 2024 isnt that much further from Nov.

Sent this E-mail a few weeks back to Tomy. Their answer is below my message .

There is a lot of discussion on the final product of the Star Trek Enterprise . In an earlier post about 4 months ago in a video it was stated that the visible plug holes would be filled in with Bondo so they wouldn't be seen. In the current update this week Tomy made a point of showing plugs not filled in. Is this still in the works to fill in the plugs for the final release or will there be visible plugs. Lots of confusion out here.

Thanks

Thank you for your email.

The photos are accurate and represent the final product.

Thanks Dan

Here is the the full email in PDF for people who did not receive this email. There are pics as well as updates on production! Can't wait!!!
Yikes! The revised decal placement helps with the nacelle seams, but still... looking at my Master Replicas (admittedly, a lot more expensive), no such visible seams on the nacelles). I'd be OK with the seams except we've been told often that seams would be hidden.

No way. I think Dan must have misunderstood. There's no way they would release a product with those plugs unfilled. I mean if they are working in conjunction with Paramount how could they permit that to be released? There must be some miscommunication here.

The last pics look like prototypes not a final product! Something seems really off.

Looking at the direction booklet again, it sure seems like the default stand configuration for the Enterprise is for one stand to cradle the secondary deck and the second stand to mate with the second stand and then support the underside of the primary hull saucer??? This seems like a very late change and not one reflected in the earlier photos which clearly show a single point of support. Am I misreading the instructions or is this how others also see it? If this is correct, way disappointed!

I'm hoping this is the case but I have to take it as official until they clarify otherwise. They NEED to address the sample asap.

Well it will come to their notice soon, because not only did I request a refund, but I warned my fellow 1/10 BTTF Delorean backers about this being an example of developer promises not being honored by the company---on the kickstarter page. Same two developer guys, too.

Oh…let’s just say that Paramount has authorized some die cast Enterprise replicas of dubious quality / accuracy in the past…

On a positive note…I don’t see any screw hole covers in this replica. ;)

According to their last update, full production has started.

They seem really proud of the plugs in the final product since they specifically point them out.

”As promised below are the pictures of the final sample with the highlight being the plug holes on the right side”.

Yeah i get that. But people can still post there right? I dont have an FB account. But I'm surprised no one is at least posting on the last one just to maybe open their eyes a bit.
Ant1988, I need to correct myself. It looks like I wasn’t diligent enough when searching TOMY’s FB pages. People are asking about the plugs and seams and not getting replies from Chris or Dan.

Not sure how Dan could misunderstood my question. I worded it in a way that a child could know what I was asking .

Dan was the one who replied to my question !
