This reads to me like someone at TOMY got slapped down by the bean counters and is maliciously complying. Like they aren't allowed to admit there were cutbacks, so they are making it as obvious as they can.
 
I was very excited when they first announced doing this project and ended up buying two ships...now I'm really starting to feel buyer remorse.

Did anyone request a refund and actually get their money back?
 
Maybe it’s an out of abundance of caution CYA to be safe. Once I inspect it in hand it will be easy to tel if it’s robust or not.
Screws don’t break. Cheap metal does crack over time.

Same here. Someone else called. They said no refunds but we may be able to return after we receive....
 
From a business standpoint it’s cheaper to refund than ship and return, but perhaps that’s also part of the potential malicious compliance, give them the crap and watch the returns pile back in. See, I told you not to cheap out.

Edit: it ended up being pretty good. Not many complaints.

Tomy is making a huge mistake if they don't deliver the Enterprise we were promised and expect. Future Star Trek replica sales are at stake.

I bet a lot of people were. This first Star Trek release was pretty much the prototype for what we can expect from them as far as their quality. Now we know.

Hey, here’s a positive.

The Diamond Select Romulan Bird of Prey would seem to be an excellent matching model to display with the Tomy Enterprise.

Okay I am a little lost so please help me out.

The finish is not done. They said it is overdone on the sample.

They said the plugs would be taken care of.

What are we upset about???? I thought I read everything but I feel like I missed something.

Someone sent an email. Got a response from one of the developers, Dan. He said it was the finished product. The plugs were still in the final sample.

Okay I missed the comment about the "Final Product."

The last update I saw was the above and they assured us these would be taken care of so I skimmed past the comments about the plug holes.

So much for my Refit wish, unless it comes out as we had hoped.
