Die Cast Lighted 1/350th TOS Enterprise (TOMY crowd funded)

I haven’t asked but have mine and Pebble’s photos proliferated to other social media platforms (those that we did not post directly to)?

As there still seems to be quite a significant amount of people who aren’t aware of how it truly looks with the seams and updated base.

As customers who rely solely on the images just sent out by Tomy, are still likely to be blindsided!

So Tomy just sent out a new email "We've had so many requests for photos of the final NCC-1701 U.S.S. Enterprise, so please see below for the images of the final item" - and proceed to include 5 extremely cropped pictures. None of which show the enormous saucer support. And the lighting is blown out so it minimizes the screw plugs. What? How do they think this will help? End users on this forum took better photos than these official ones.

Really making me swing to cancelling, they are still hiding things. Exactly what I posted back in August.
Well, don't cancel because of that. If you like the model, then keep it. I know I'm keeping mine because for the price I paid there is nothing better. The only way I'd be getting something better is to build the Polar Lights model and light it. Maybe I will one day but until then, this is it.

Exactly. I directed people on one Youtube post to this forum to see the photos for themselves. Most acted like TOMY sychophants who either didn't believe me or had no interest in seeing them because of blind faith.

I thought that was weird, but they'll see for themselves sooner or later. I did what I could.

I would’ve thought the RPF would have a better reputation than that. I’ve long read and heard good things about it.

Frankly I only joined this forum on Sunday/Monday and my first post here were pictures on the shipper box.

You got a deal, that's for sure. What does it go for now?
Actually mine was free. Ordered one for a friend in Canada and when I didn't get it to ship to him another one was shipped. Couple of months later another one showed up. Free for me !

All over FaceBook !

I wonder what they will do now with all the cancelled ones, whether they will just put them up for sale direct from TOMY, or whether they will resell them elsewhere.

Assuming they do put them up for sale elsewhere, it'll also be interesting the description they use, since they can't really say it's a perfect replica anymore, or use the prototype pictures.
I was just about to say, anyone who has an extra one to sell will now be competing with Tomy to find buyers.

They just don't have a clue. I'm glad I found this place and thread - MUCH more reasonable and informative than most places on the interwebs...

Give it a couple of months and they'll show up on EBay for $200. That's where I got my MR Klingon Disruptor that was from a bunch found in a warehouse in China $180 !
That's exacly why I don't believe the chances are good for anyone with an extra one to sell it at a profit. I'm not sure you'd ever get your money back on a sale at this point.

Tomy sent out E-Mails to all buyers saying that they couldn't deliver what was promised and said the plugs and seams would be visible. That's what is posted on FB

Ah. Your original response to my post seemed to indicate that my photos had spread all over Facebook.

All it took was for a simply google search to lead me directly to this thread. Not difficult at all for anyone to do. So I wonder why it’s so hard for others?

I bought an extra one to sell but you don't want to sell right away. It's best to sit on it for a year or two until all the ones at retail dry up. It shouldn't take long for Tomy to resell the returned one.

Yes, but as we’ve all speculated, they probably only did that in reaction to our recent photos. Depending on how many this caused to knock at their gates, they simply may not have had a choice in the matter. But it’s definitely great that they’re offering easy refunds.

Though given the images they’ve recently sent out, imo they’re still not being totally upfront/clear about it.

But I am really curious what they would’ve done if Pebble’s and myself hadn’t posted our photos. If only I could warp around the sun to find out
"Captain, I definitely don't advise warping around the sun with a couple dozen rather large screw holes breaching the hull of the ship! She can't take that kind of stress sir!

I originally found RPF a year ago after typing into Google "Tomy USS Enterprise may not be made". Been following ever since.

Does anyone know if Tomy will accept partial cancelations? These were sold in sets of 1, 2, or 3. If your order was for multiple ships, can you cancel all but one ship from the order?
