Latest E-Mail update today. They have started production .
On that note, I’d like to see past products that used the same methods and how well they have held up.I want to see how well the seams and holes are filled in.

Just about to post it myself! Thanks for posting!Dear Star Trek fan,
Greetings Star Trek Fans! Thank you again for your support on the NCC-1701 U.S.S. Enterprise.
Big news this month! We are proud to tell you we have received the final pre-production sample and will share pictures next month. As we continue through the beginning phases of production, the last thing we need to receive is Paramount's approval. We hope you are just as excited as the TOMY Team to bring this collectible to everyone who supported it from day one. Next month, we will also share the certificate of authenticity for the first time!
Project Update:
- Campaign fully funded and moving forward
- Tooling model has been approved by Paramount
- Package size and design has been finalized
- Instruction manual has been finalized
- Refined decoration and paint operations
- Production has begun
- Look for more updates over the next few months!
Thanks again for your continued support.
- TOMY Prestige Select Team
Yeah, its hard to say if this is still just a Early production run that was painted , but they didn't complete the fill/sand on it for time constraints ( We need to show the studio something to approve...). I am Hoping this is not the final product, especially since they did this to the filming side. They said these would plugged, filled and sanded, but it doesn't appear anything like that happened here. Still , for $600 I am happy. But this makes it feel more like a toy and less like a model. I suspect a number of people will be trying to do some cosmetic surgery on this if this is what is delivered in the end.I thought they said the plugs wouldn’t be seen? And there are some very noticeable seams. View attachment 1727638
