Diablo 3 - Imperius (WiP)

Imperius the Archangel of valor is my newest project. In Diablo 3 he is the leader of the Angiris Council.
This is a scratch and foam build.

I started with the gauntlets

The current result. It needs only a bit more detail.. and the painting of course xD

I took a look at that link describing Imperious,and I must say a very bold and ambitious goal, and off to a good start. You have some good form in the gauntlet so far, continue with care and precision, and perseverance, you can pull this off. Good Luck!

The last weeks i worked hard on my torso.
Here a few shots of the progress.

I carved the sun with an ordinary cutter and after this I cleaned the edges with fine sandpaper.

Here the latest result. I added the collar and some details

I follow this wip from the first day, and just realized I did not even post a word :$
I like this way you chamfer the edges of the foam, your suit already seems iron-handforged. And such a rare clean build ! Keep up.

can i ask what type of foam you're using and where you got it? i like the texture and look that it gives lool

@xVzero: I use plastazote, that is a high density foam, which is very light. I obtain my foam from a german shop, i don't know if this could help you?
But it give a lot of english shops where you can obtain the foam, too.

And here the first pics of my pauldrons. I think they´re one of the important parts at the armor.

One Pauldron contains three parts. This one is the upper part and it required the most details.

Whoa almost doesn't even look like foam ! That's how you know you've done well . Very awesome so far!

Now the first pics of Imperius Spear, Solarion. I have made two versions of the blades, hard and soft. The white blades are really sharp, they look much better, but I prefer the soft version for conventions.

That is an impressive weapon you are duplicating. Particularly good work on all the sunbursts, lots of curved edges that you managed to keep pretty darn clean

I don't know anything about Diablo 3, however this blade reminded me something I saw somewhere... In fact it was last summer, Omegadjinn built one too.
Very bold choice, it's not the simplest weapon to build at all.:thumbsup
