Finished painting the back plate tonight. This piece was made from Wonderflex, no Worbla. I kept it simple because it is in back. You can't really see it in any of the models so I had to guess what it looked like.
Just as an update... I plan to debut this at Emerald City Comicon, so I better get crackin' on it! I signed up for the costume contest and will also be presenting a panel on an Intro to Cosplay. So I'm committed at this point! Hope to have lots of progress updates this weekend (after I host a Super Bowl party).
Painting the shin guards. If I am still happy with how they look by tomorrow, I'll spray on a finishing coat and they'll be completely done when I put the straps on them.
I skipped the parade and went straight to CenturyLink Field. Had a good time! Walter Jones was in a booth behind us until he went to raise the 12th man flag. Awesome. Go Hawks!
At least now my Sundays are finally free to work on this project...
It started snowing so of course I had to throw these on an take a picture!
This costume is still coming along... I finished the shins so now I am building the knee guards, belt, and right pauldron. After these three pieces the only major builds I will have left are the left pauldron, hip armor and weapon(s). The rest is small pieces and some sewing.
