So question. If someone has a gold version of this watch, is it possible for a jeweler who specilizes in watch servicing and repair to make the watch silver? along with the dial marks on the face? I know the hands would need to be changed as well but do you think this could be done? and dark passenger, is the face on yours slightly goldish? or is it completely silver with the rest of the watch?

It was made in gold, the original one I found on eBay was gold and I had it plated silver by Ashland Investments, who I bought it from
Not sure if the dials can be plated silver or not, but it's worth looking into. The face on mine appears gold when light hits it a certain way, just like the one on Dexter. Sometimes the face lights up gold, sometimes it appears duller depending on how light hits it.
also technically under the gold plating im guessing is steel, might be cheaper to have the gold taken off and the steel polished up would look the same im guessin. And what does it mean 25 jewels? i see others (not this style watch) of the same brand that say 17, 100, etc....
Keep in mind that if you have the face chromed/plated you will lose the "Waltham Self Winding 25 Jewels" silk-screening on the face as well.
I think the term your looking for is "goldfilled" not solid gold. No one in their right mind plates silver over solid gold so I'm assuming the watch is plated gold.
A dial can be "silvered" by any dial refinishing company...or made any color you want. Watch hands can be refinished too and/or changed to your specs but it isn't cheap $$.
