Dexter Season Six (SPOILERS)

Seeing as they just got divorced, it doesn't really seem like the best option is turning them into a couple :)

Prediction. She's in shock and disbelief over it as next season opens and can't decide what to do until the last 60 seconds of S7. Then she'll make her choice and it'll be shown in E1 of S8 in 2013..

I think Dexter is going to run away without Debra reacting to it much, he get's away and goes into hiding, It'll take a few episodes before she hears from Dexter through letters, Debra shuts her mouth about it , resigns her position as Lieutenant and has a breakdown, Masukas assistent will be next season's main killer as he kills Batistas Sister, Debra somehow recovers and meets with Dexter at the end of the season....maybe it might go a liitle something like that?

she may just let him be and carry out his own justice as well, since its her brother and she is in love with him. just like Dexter told her in the episode before "keep an open mind" if dexter actually sits down with Deb and tells her that it was Harry that taught him this, the man she looked up to so much i think she is just going to let it be. But Dexter can't just go into hiding, he's gotta keep killing, providing for his son, and clearly go after louis when he starts killing which i think will make for a great season, a guy that seems to know everything about dexter and now will become his enemy? just ahhh the thing with deb knowing and louis definitely being the killer next season....he may go back to the beginning maybe doing ITK kills?? or Dexter kills to innocent people and with deb knowing start to think dexter doesn't only kill killers, but also innocent people if thats what louis does....who knows lol. we have a while to wait. in the mean time we need to ID the cargo pants from last night.

My guess is they'll let this play out through the first half of the next season--Dexter will explain to Deb what he is (though maybe not every little detail) and that it's the reason Harry spent so much time with him growing up; Deb will be understanding (to a point) about the fact that Dexter only targets people the world would be better off without, but soon it will conflict with her professional ethics and status as Lieutenant. Dexter will feel conflicted about having put her in this position, but will continue to feed the Dark Passenger's desires, likely focusing on Louis as his true motives are revealed. Eventually (probably the Season 7-8 cliffhanger) Deb will have to choose between allowing Dexter to continue, or doing her duties as a police officer and prosecute him; perhaps she will be forced into making this decision by other circumstances.

Either that, or the writers will wimp out and have Dexter give Deb some barely plausible story that explains it all away in the first episode. :p

Regardless, I also find it a bit odd that the writers would take Deb's character in the "I'm in love with my adopted brother" direction considering Hall's and Carpenter's relationship as a divorced couple in real life. Of course, they're both professionals, and if the rumors are true that there is friction between them on the set as a result of their divorce it certainly isn't coming through on the show.

If that happens I will go out and murder someone to death. I swear, they better not pull any punches with the S7 opener.

nope, better start off exactly where they left off, hopefully with deb in shock running off and dex running after her, and throughout the season he explains it all while the new serial killer (probably Louis) is doing his thing and Dexter doing his, and hopefully Deb will let Dex go about killin murderers. that is my hope. but her being in love with him is still to weird for me to grasp

yeah , the crush on the adopted brother thing is just freaking weird. but i agree with others have said. deb will spend most of next season deciding what to do until other things or people forces her to choose.

one thing that bugs me. they let dexter go into the house and destroy the wall painting before anyone eles saw it???? bullcrap. the detectives would have been all over that house.......not to mention the cops responding to the call.

crappy writing there.....

I was like WTF too on that! After watching the scene again, I think it might have to do with the murdered couple being right by the entrance. Maybe they thought they'd ruin the blood work by entering first? Either way it was a little hacky.

That entrance looked like they were in the way of the back door. The front door was in the living room with the painting. I mean, proper procedure - before you investigate the murder, you gotta make sure the house is clear. Blood guy is far from the first one in the house.

I also thought Dexter being the first person to enter the house with his "portrait" was a little weak; as has already been mentioned, certainly not standard police procedure. When Batista told him, "We were waiting for you," I thought they had been inside already and were going to ask Dexter to explain how/why his face was on the wall.

And I also thought it was a little too convenient that Dexter's boat was "found beached". One might question Travis' mental status, but it must be easier to disembark from a boat tied to a pier than to jump from the deck to the beach. Also, since Travis kidnapped Dexter from the same harbor where Dex keeps the Slice Of Life, wouldn't Travis' car be parked there? Some sloppy writing going on there, but that's not entirely unheard of for this show.

it was sloppy writing but they had to do it because at that point they knew of dexter almost dying by falling off his boat when it was found on the beach, and then to see his face on that tableu, then find out that it happened and that same night dexter ends up almost drowning they would have put 2 and 2 together and taken up more time in the episode which they didn't have (which is why this type of show should have a 2 hour finale on all seasons..just my opinion), but like DP said, he could have just used the excuse that he was kidnapped by Travis due to stopping wormwood. but then when deb sees him at the end clearly all his lies about that and everything else would have gone right out the window just as they have.

i hear that great1, and what sucks is Breaking Bad won't be filmed in my home town this year, the govenor won't allow them to film in Albuquerque, or anywhere in New Mexico. But looking forward to Spartacus: Vengence coming up Jan 27th, I loved "Blood and Sand" and "Gods of the Arena" only sad thing is Andy Whittfield is dead (RIP) as he played Spartacus perfectly, not sure how this new guy will pan out.

also Deb might not go with her emotions towards Dexter, and actually listen to La Guerta to put her job first, but she does have the therapy session afterwards still saying how much she is in love with him.....that is still so weird that they did that.

They must have worked something out with this being the last season of Breaking Bad. I visited the set this past June and I have kept in touch with a few of the people that work on the show, they are very excited to start filming again in February and haven't said anything about filming elsewhere.

really? cause I live in Albuquerque, live actually 2 streets from where walters house is, and the next main intersection from my house is where Sauls office is. used to be a hole in the wall bar, now its just up for lease. and the govenor talked to the press and said that she will not allow it to be filmed here next season, i haven't heard anything since then which was right when season 4 was wrapping up, but hopefully she changed her mind, otherwise the show would not be the same. at all!

I must admit i was in complete shock at the end of season 6! FINALLY Deb knows what Dexter really is! It's kind of a bugger though that that was the finale and we don't find out what happens until next season. I've always liked that every season finale of Dexter so far has completely wrapped up the season, it's been great. Was not expecting the massive cliffhanger at all lol

Season 4 didn't "wrap up" the season, and to be honest I like a good cliffhanger ending, it makes the anticipation for the next season so much better.

what he just said. this season for the most part seemed to be the one where we picked up about a year later from the rest...after season 1 we pick up about 39 days after, not too long after season 2 does season 3 tie in, and 3 went into 4, 4 into 5. season 6 was the first that just basically was a fresh start all over for dexter, but opps he got caught.

Finally caught this one. I loved Masuka's Yoda impression. The showdown with Travis was so-so. The thing with Deb is just getting WEIRD. I mean, ok, she caught him, but the whole incest thing....why even go there? It's like they're just doing it to gin up the "watercooler" talk. Seems gimmicky to me, and I'm unimpressed.

The sad part for me is that, while I still enjoy the show, that "OMGIHATETHATIHAVETOWAITTILNEXTSEASON!!!!" thing just isn't there anymore, and it's mostly due to the writing.

I have the feeling of OMG i can't wait for next season just to see what deb does about Dex. but yea the whole being in love with Dexter is weird, but i'm starting maybe to think this therapist is around due to La Guerta to find out all the **** goin on with Deb since she doesn't want her as Lt. and can get that info....just a thought i had, that the therapist is ****in with deb due to la guerta holding the therapists strings...but ofcourse thats just a theory

Good theory man, yea I was yelling at the scene when they made out then had the biggest sigh of relief when. It was a dream still way to weird for me though.
