Detention Block Holocam

These Patterson viewers are made of a plastic that Super Glue doesn't want to bond with. I had to use 5 minute epoxy. Made a styrene blank for the black out focus lens that's missing and fixed the frame.

pretty nice. are you sure the next one we can see on the bottom is not closer?

Philip at Bluerealm Studios came through for me! The backing plate, lights, LEDs, & hardware should arrive any day now and I can get this build back on the bench!

Finally I have all the pieces! Thanks Philip Wise! These parts are beautiful and so so cool!

Excited to work on this prop again!

Philips drilling template is genius! Pre drilled all the viewers for mounting screws and one side for lights for a quick test assembly. Need to prime the viewers and get paint matched to spray blue. Thanks again Philip Wise for an awesome kit that makes it really easy for any skill level to have this cool prop!

Guys I am working on my kit, but have a couple of questions. Are we supposed to remove the metal sliders from the bottoms? I've seen pictures with and without. I'm almost finished and am now seeing more pictures without. :/ Second what lights go where? I got (3) red, (2) green, and (1) yellow. I did not get any blue in my kit. It might be because I got in on the run by taking someone else's spot and that is what he ordered.

There are so many variations that in my opinion this prop is somewhat of a "whatever floats your boat" build.
Mine doesn't match any one version, but more a hybrid of the best shots we see in the movie. The rods are turned differently, the lights are different in both color and position. Some have white circles some don't. Some have white on the side, some are red. some have the light blue border around the lenses, some have the white borders. I say just make it how you want.

I agree w Trent, the seconds this prop was on screen give you some license. Me, I’d like to try to mimic one of them and will leave the silver focus sliders, add decals, reflective tape, and lights that blink....cuz it sounds fun!

I have decided to leave the sliders. Mostly because I'm almost finished and really do not want to take it all apart again.
I'm also leaving mine the two tone versions. They looks so good that way.

Worked on the lights this morning and sanded Philip's cool light diffusers down so they easily fit into the lenses. The work great with an iPhone flashlight behind them!

I'm going to try and swing by the electronics store and pick up the LEDs and a power source. Got all but one viewer peeped and primed too

There's plastic structure inside the viewers where the lights mount and when using Philip's hallow bolt & nut set up with the diffuser that structure is in the way! Patience and success today...
