well...went with beige tights one night under black booty shorts. FROZE TO DEATH. wore leather look leggings the next night and it looked pretty wicked, though completely inaccurate.
the wings i made ( posted in the earlier pic ) were not so kindly crushed by my mom cleaning my room and PILING STUFF ON TOP OF THEM. the cardboard folded and they flopped around like blah. i suppose this was a blessing in disguise since they were INCREDIBLY impractical to wear to a club. more so than i imagined. the clubs werent too bad last year but were overcrowded this year and even with the wire and fabric $5 wings i ended up using as a last minute replacement, I had to take them off after 10 minutes 'cause people around me were complaining about getting poked with them. =\ Even if I took off the other ones they would have gotten even more crushed. The ones I used were easy to just fold up and carry in one hand so that worked out alright.
Can't believe I half assed two costumes... I was
so bad with procrastination this year... but the overall looks were successful, I think. At least, people asked for pictures with us and said they looked pretty awesome so that's good enough...for now.
Plotting for world domination next year. And the completion of this one ( for con wear, probably... something with more open space for a wicked set of wings ) and Hook too.
Here's a couple pics of the worn result. IMO, I think the head gear is what makes it...until I have better hooves, wings and bootcovers.
Believe it or not, the shoes were actually SURPRISINGLY very comfortable and easy to walk in! Except for the time I got a wad of gum stuck to the bottom of one, and since the platforms are pretty narrow, it made me a bit wobbly till i could scratch it off on something. Hahaha! The boot covers were a DISASTER. The night where I had to crunch to get EVERYTHING done, it took me 3 hours to do one... and then they wouldn't stay on... so I made these ghetto ones in 20 minutes. I had planned to put spikies up the back of them and cover them in 'scales'.

That's something to add on later I guess. And it's always fun to compare before and after once you supe it up!
The second night we opted for Jack in an attempt to win a contest, rather than Hook which had its own horror stories of completion. These are the ghetto wings I used... at least they were solid... none of those crappy mesh things or 'dark angel' wings, and the colour scheme matched! haha
This is probably one of my favourite pics. Even though I forgot my incisor fangs last night it just looks so... bright and shiny!
