thanks for that finhead, how do you get numbers on the pieces, when I print mine out there all blank?, it does make it a bit more of a challenge !

On the 2DPatternWindow on the top bar, click Show Edge ID, and the numbers will show up for you. To change the font size (in PepDesigner3), go to Settings -> Other Settings -> Others tab, Font size of Edge ID. I like to print at 6, I think.

And this build is looking super, Finhead! Love what you did with the hip pods!

Thanks for getting that me, I was just about to reply. And thanks for the props.

Here's the third and final thigh that I will be building, I have one left but here's the right side. It's from Dancin_Fool as well,just got it finished last night. This is a great thigh very very accurate and has the extension pieces seperate so they can be mounted for easier movement.

Yeah scaling is a bit of a hit miss thing with some of the files. Some are built very slim or tall and once scaled it doesn't fit one way or the other, I've moded some of my stuff for this. I'll either add a piece or cut it down one way or the other, It's not and exact deal sometimes.

This is my biggest complaint about pep. I struggled with scale for many of the pieces for my Mjolnir MkVI costume, often creating several days worth of cutting & gluing only to find out the piece was way too big/small across one or more dimension. I've thought that it'd be a nice feature enhancement to Pepakura Viewer/Designer to check dimensions across two user-defined points; I know that something like that would help me, at the very least

Yep I went through almost 3 tubes of that super glue gel when putting together my helmet. I agree that it is great stuff. It sticks almost instantly. Makes assembly time much faster. The only problem is when you stick your fingers together because you didn't move fast enough.

Yes it's a bother for all I'm sure. I hear it's just a matter of changing a few lines of code but who knows, it'd be a nice feature. We could get some builds that fit in all ways not just length or width.

Well I don't think it's too bad. I've built a tester chest a test helmet which was too small, was built before I knew about scaling. 3 sets of legs so far and all the other armor and I'm on # 5 bottle, so lots of pep'in lots of glue.

Shin is a hybrid of Clarx's rear sections and Carnage Med-Def front piece and knee. It's on the 405th, but hope to have time tomorrow to got through all my files and post some links to em in here. Soon.

Well, I just exchanged a pm with mr Finhead, and I have to say he's a very very nice person. I usually don't take sides, but this guy is just humble and nice. I guess people here tend to get a little crazy or whiny

That said, let me ask this question here, so you won't have to answer to me and then to some other guy

May I know a little more about your chinese tools?
Where do you get them? How do they work? I was searching for videos on you tube about milling but cnc is the only thing I find...

Gemini Khan, the lathe is from BusyBee tools here in Canada. I painted it since I really don't like the green, here's a link to the specs.

It's a good solid lathe for the size and price, the bed is not seperated on the sides so it will flex a whole lot less than the 9X20 versions that are so popular.
I'm not sure where your located but if your over seas it's a rebadged Weiss lathe. But for the work I did on the bolts/rivets you can easily get by with the mini lathes good info here.

The Mill is also a rebadged RF45 dovetail mill. If your looking a for a mill of any size be sure to get a dovetail it's far easier to get multiple accurate parts with a dovetail as opposed to the round column.

Either of the smaller machines would work awesome for any of the smaller prop stuff since It could be machined from plastics or teflon, aluminium, brass lot of the softer stuff since It would be molded anyway. It's just a matter of will your piece fit in the machine.

Got a little bit done yesterday afternoon and today. The right side and pelvis are just started only first coat of filler, just wanted to throw it on there to balance it out a bit. Don't mind the mess I was focused on this not cleaning up.

And the next thing I'll be finishing to mold up and cast.
