Defiance

Yeah, a good Nolan episode. A shame Pol Madis must not have read Uncle Remus, though.

Also, I'm glad the ex-mayor's weasel is done.

Well,I've watched the first 5 episodes and it's pretty entertaining, but I have to admit that there's been a lot of cheesy parts so far( atleast 2 scenes per episode of people spontaneously & viciously humping for no particular reason! lol )

I like the alien races though, and whatever those big wolf headed crab things are!

I want to play the game now,and I wouldn't mind having a Defiance Lawkeeper badge.

Those are Sabrewolves! Nasty buggers...

I thought this week's past episode was pretty good. The grittiness of the way Nolan just killed that guy so his buddy couldn't take him was pretty cool. It rather suprised me.

He didn't kill him to spite his buddy. He killed him because he wasn't going to be punished for his crimes, and would keep creating new weapons to kill people.

David.

I was pleasantly surprised when Nolan pulled the trigger. Great character building episode. I'm seriously cheesed that we don't get an episode this week though!

Yeah. Morally, probably the right decision. Strategically, probably the worst. If we did that to all the German scientists who were building V2 rockets we'd probably have lost the space race.

Well, if we'd done it to all of them, it would have evened out the field. The space race was in large part between "our" Germans and "their" Germans... :)

Well, the show has a Monday timeslot, and the networks have this thing about airing new episodes on federal holidays...

Yeah, I know, but it's still annoying. The flashes they've shown of what's to come with only a handful of episodes left this season makes me really want to see more.

I really liked last night's episode.

Mainly, because I've been wanting the ex-mayor to assume room temperature for some time now... Interesting that she's a red blooded Indogene spy, while the astronaut was discovered to be a fake because he had silver blood. They must've improved the process by the time they modified Nicky.

Actually, Doc Yewll explained....

That the astronaut was a prototype when Amanda asked if the silver blood would be a dead giveaway. Obviously, the Doc lied about the progression of the "Indohuman" project, possibly as a means of protecting Nicolette from being discovered. Kinda makes me wonder if Birch, the guy that was in cahoots with Nicolette, whom the Doc mentioned as being "a part of the old gang", was one as well before he was killed Quentin.

Wow.. who's the villain now??!?? Didn't see that coming!!

Well, you have the Earth Republic and that corrupted Senator chick who tried to steal Defiance's scrip and attempted to blackmail Amanda in to allying with Earth Rep as possibles. But then again, you never know (the game still has a big villain. You never know, he may end up bringing Defiance into the fold of things).

I'm not sure that I consider them a villain yet. We've seen a very one sided view of them. The ex-mayor made it very clear she was okay with killing everyone in Defiance to get what she wants, I'm not sure that's true of the ER yet.

But I'm loving the development of Datak Tarr and his wife.

BTW, am I the only one who has an issue with the Defiance Charger commercial? I know it's not canon to the show, but I when it comes to the 2031(?) section, it shows that the Charger's rear windshield is missing (thus allowing an escapee to climb into the vehicle when it takes off), and then back in place in the 2046 segment (granted, I know, it's a non-canon commercial, but logically, it doesn't make sense how the Charger could be missing a back windshield in 2031 and then have on in 2046, especially with the lack of automotive stores and replacement parts due to the war). But other than that, the commercial's kinda okay and could actually see some of the other segments actually playing out in the show's history.

The last few episodes have seriously cemented my love for this show. Datak is amazing!

My favorite line at this point is: "I'm sorry you had to see that. Doesn't fit my narrative." :love

I was too busy and when I realize it, I've missed three episodes already. So when I finally have some time I went through them and what a show! I guess a show must be willing to kill off characters people like, in order to keep the show fresh? Anyway I was really shocked by that quote.
