Deckard's Necktie...

I'm trying to find information on Deckard's necktie from Blade Runner for a costume.

I'm trying to find a similar tie but not that exact print or pattern. Going for a Blade Runner impression... like maybe someone else in the unit they never mention on screen.

What I'm finding are lots of square-tipped neckties which are similar, but they're all a knit cotton, knit silk or (in some cases) knit wool. Seems by the pictures that these ties are made like a sock almost. Was the necktie made for Harrison Ford and for the movie?

Was it a tie the costume makers simply found at a Macy's, Foley's, Dillards, JC Penney, etc.? Was it a regular silk material like most modern ties? Was it a knit pattern like all the new square-tipped ties I'm finding on the net?

Since he sells one, I'm assuming Magnoli knows everything about it. Also, I'm pretty sure all the costumes for that movie were made, not found.

I may have just the thing for you. Although I produce a fairly accurate replica, I have a prototype tie that was made in a similar pattern, but diagonally instead of flat/horizonatally. Drop me a line and we can discuss this further.

Kind regards,
Indy
