December 1977 Science Museum of London Star Wars display

Yes, I think it's extremely unlikely they would have built a replica landspeeder purely for a one-off publicity show, even at the Science Museum. That would have been a very costly thing to do. And every other photo we've seen of promo events circa 1977 have involved original props and costumes - they weren't as precious about them as they would be later.

Indeed, it seems to me that all of these pieces were originals and nothing was built for those expos. I always wondered how many countries were lucky to have those exhibitions...:unsure:

I lived 30 miles away spent most weekends in London, usually in The OG Forbidden Planet and missed this exhibition somehow grrr..
