I am offering 3d printed versions of some of the barrel base parts for the Studio Scale Death Star Laser Tower. The parts being offered are the slotted 1 1/4" diameter tubes, the large boxes that goes at the base of the tube and the smaller boxes with flanges that goes part way up the tube. These are just the raw shapes, and do not have any nernie detailing. See the photos below.
The parts are printed on a Form 2 SLA Resin 3d printer and are extremely smooth. Print lines are next to invisible, unlike 3d prints made on FDM style extrusion printers. Basically once the parts are primed and painted you'd never know they were printed. Actually, you'd be hard pressed to tell trhey were 3d printed even in their raw state! The parts are printed with a support structure, as shown in the photos. The supports will be removed before shipping but you will need to sand smooth the little residual nubs from where the supports touched the model surface. Very easy to do, especially on simple shapes like these.
