Deadpool mask help

Hi all,
i am currently working on a deadpool mask for my boyfriend and it definitely needs some work. I've had some issues with the spandex and had to recut the mask a couple of times. I would love some input on what everyone thinks or if anyone has any suggestions on working with spandex that would be great. I am also having difficulties finding a white material to use for the eyes. I searched all over the internet and people say to use mesh, but the only kind I have found in stores can be seen through to easily and I would like for the eyes to be hidden.

I used a mesh netting from a pop up food cover in the camping section. It's designed to keep bugs off your food while you're camping. I cut it and layered it 4 times so you can see out but no-one can see in.
