That's a great anecdote, but I'm pretty sure Justin's misremembering the number of 0's he was told about the suit's cost. I worked on some if the suits for Civil War, and I'm friends with the lead fabricator of Deadpool's suits (who has also praised El Fett's work. These supersuits usually run between 20,000 and 80,000 each for principal photography. There's no way Film Illusions would have won the bid for Deadpool if they asked Fox for a half-million per suit when every other specialty costume shop delivers for a tenth of that. I'm positive the real figure was $60,000.

So yes, El Fett is providing a superb deal on these suits, but not one where he's pricing his labor at a fraction of a percentage point of what professionals earn.

This is accurate. I've been told by two people who were a part of costuming for Civil War that the Deadpool suit was around 56,000 per suit to the best of their knowledge.
I assume they are right because they have friends in the industry.

Awesome, with a small movie budget of 58 million it would be pretty outrageous to have the suits priced at $600k, and from what I've gathered online it seems that there were about 6-7 movie suits produced during the entire movie. Don't shoot the messenger! I was just relaying what information I was told. It's a bit unfortunate that Justin Harder was never officially credited in the movie for his work, hope that changes if he is involved in the second movie.

Got it off eBay for a sadly inflated price....for a $15 watch

Guy is now selling some on Amazon (must have found some deadstock in a locker somewhere) for $179

You know I would say that I wouldn't agree with how much that watch could potentially sell for but when I tell my friends how much I was willing to pay for this suit they look at me like I just killed someone. Last I checked we don't die with the money that we make. We might as well enjoy it with things we love and enjoy I definitely plan on wearing this suit... everywhere!

I don't drink or smoke or go to the bar/pub/club.

Getting all this stuff is my mid life crisis - plus my War Machine, Spidey, Vader, zombie, snow trooper, TFA TK......

Just got mine from german customs. Its a beautiful piece of work (dare i say piece of art?)

Unfortunatly my noggin is too damn big to fit it properly. I contacted el_fett about it and he was immediatly trying to give advice what i could to to widen it a bit.



This has to be the most perfect, screen accurate mask out there.

Cant measure at the moment. But I have a REALLY big head mask fits my (normal sized S.O.) perfectly.
Will update this post with actual headsize.
