Deadpool costume ideas?

I'm going to be making a deadpool cosplay soon, but i don't want any of the lycra suits online ( too ugly, not realistic or just too much paint, wrong size etc)
So i want to make my own costume but don't know how.
Does anybody have suggestions on how to make it look good and make my own (can be 2 pieces because the belt will hide it)
thanks!

Read the threads throughout this forum, there have been many good ideas. If you want your own idea this is the place to do the research. $$$ is always a big thing as well, how much do you plan to spend, all questions you have to ask yourself before asking for help. We can't help you if we don't know what you have looked at other than Premade suits. Trust me when I say there are a lot of RPF folks who have made Awesome Deadpool costumes. Good luck.

TBH, i have been looking around a lot on the rpf and google and i was thinking to 1) use some kind of armor to give me a more trained look (shoulder pads mostly).
i definately need to find a website to buy plastic swords like this guy http://www.therpf.com/f78/custom-deadpool-costume-wip-pic-heavy-231566/?highlight=deadpool
they seem really nice and i'd prefer them to be plastic.
I don't want to go for lycra to be honest, it just seems a pretty hard material to work with as a first sewing project.
The mask i already know how i'm going to take on that part.
I also have ideas for the belt, the gun holster and the boots.
It's really just the clothing itself (top and pants, the pattern on it,i don't care if it's seperated or joined together)
kind of looking for this kind of pants too http://www.therpf.com/f78/deadpool-costume-160905/

that's my idea on how i want the costume

I'm planning on making a Deadpool costume after my current batsuit build, so far I've got a few ideas but obviously it's just a vague concept for now. I prefer the darker red colour for his suit as the bright red doesn't translate very well to real life costumes in my opinion.

I'm mostly using this as a staring point/reference gallery for my costume: http://www.sideshowtoy.com/collectibles/marvel-deadpool-sideshow-collectibles-100178/

I love Sideshow and I've got this one on pre order and I love this version.

I've bought a couple of sets of coveralls for other costumes from an Australian company called Hard Yakka, and they sell a really nice darkish red set:

http://www.hardyakka.com.au/men/overalls/lightweight-cotton-drill-coverall-154.html#80=71&142=3811

Not sure what shipping would be like to overseas but these coveralls are great quality and would be a good base for a costume.

So that's my 2 cents, it's gonna be a while before I can build my Deadpool but I'm excited to see where you go with it!

the sideshow tou is beast, and really close to what i want, i like it being more like a real clothing instead of a morphsuit
I'm thinking of putting a pair of those rugby or hockey shoulder pads under the costume to look a little broader/stronger
I'm not going with the overall though (too luch work removing pockets and zipper on top

Really love the sideshow costume
