Darth Vader Helmet and Shoulder Display Stand

I've noticed various members have posted pics of their Vader helms and upper shoulder armor together on great looking stands, and would like to build one myself. Anyone got any good suggestions for designs and materials to use?

i used to use boxes, now i have it on top of one of my stereos with a mannequin head on top nice in cheap the way i like it lol

I plan on making mine out of 8 inch PVC. It will be a basic cross shape. It will be modded in order to make the chest armor to stick out like it was resting on a real chest. I also plan on painting it with balck crinkle paint, then displaying it in a sealed armoir, with doors that close on it.

thanks for the pics. I thought about using a cross-shaped stand, but was going to use wood--never thought about PVC.

I was always wondering if a papier mache shell could be made to support the armor and helmet on a pvc t-shape build!?
