Did anyone else notice in the trailer?

TONY HAS BEEN EXTREMELY BUSY. Look at all the Shiney New Suits... must be why the Mark 7 is called the Mark 4,213.. or whatever it's called.

Thanks guys, I try. ;) This is the LD chest so it is all one layer so-to-speak. The HD version will have detachable panels and special details. ;)

Not sure what this means. Please use a translator.

Yes, I have read about this as well...

there are going to be many specialized suits and in the ending battle Tony will call in all of them by mind control to help him and Rowdy fight the Mandarin. It is going to be epic and us modelers will be busy for quite some time trying to make all the suits, lol.

Still waiting for my foam to get here... SO! this morning I finished my first glove. Man these things are a pain! I had to do a lot of modifications to it to get it to fit right. Let me know what you guys think.

Re: Darkside501st's Iron Man Mk VII pepakura files **Update Jan 3, 2013**

Ok guys so I was looking back through my reference pics and I noticed something... there is a difference between the references on the collar plate. I have marked some pics with a blue outline on a part that is there in some pics and not there in others.

Example:

So what do you guys want me to do with it? If I had to make a call I would say that the outlined part exists especially since I have seen it in several stills from the movie. It seems like it could make a difference on where the chest should sit when being worn.

Well, I just decided to model it... people can choose to build it or leave it out if they want. I am still interested in your opinions.

Re: Darkside501st's Iron Man Mk VII pepakura files **Update Jan 3, 2013**

i think it looks good darkside and it will also help with the connection to the back and shoulder missile pods at the min im gunna be using the coller plates for the mk 4/6 just to add those details again looking realy gurd buddy

Re: Darkside501st's Iron Man Mk VII pepakura files **Update Jan 3, 2013**

Looking at the images Mike it seems that there are at least 3 different options with the pieces to the left and right of the optional plate being either silver or red. I think you have made the right decision in making it an optional piece :)

Also if it is part of the build to start with and does make the chest piece sit incorrectly then it can always be cut out :)

Hello,

I did the Sharkmark Mk VI Helmet already and I did in scale 1.100 because that is what people said works for my head size of 24" circumference and 7" in width. It fits pretty go, but I guess it is a little loss but I didn't see it without the faceplate off yet so I cant see what it looks like so I cant tell. I was wondering though I am putting hinges on the sides of the helmet and the servos in the back I think so do you think I should make another at scale 1.000 or wouldn't the hinges fit right at that scale. If you don't know I might just redo it later, but it took me awhile to make it and I don't want to do it if it wouldn't work.

Thanks

Here's a follow-up pic (of my Updated Hall of Armor) based on the Pic I posted above.
I made it Yesterday, right after seeing that trailer, took about 2 hours.

I even made it Animated, so the Floor opens up, and the Gantry lowers down into the "Subterranean Hall"... or WHATEVER it's going to be called in the Movie.

Well, if you have a head circumference or 24" then the 1.1 scale should be way to big. I have researched the scale of the helmet and it is generally agreed that a scale .95 works for a head circumference of 22" - 23" so a 24" circumference should be more like a .98 scale. of course, everyone's head is different and you will have to see what works best for you. I would think that you would have to go smaller than a 1.1 though. Build the tester in a .98 and a 1.0 and see what fits best.
