There is not a separate file for the knee. Half of it is on the shin and the other half is on the thigh. If you want to keep it separate, you can. The upper knee is floating, but it is closer to the thigh, as seen in screencaps, than the shin, as depicted in the kotobukiya, statue. If you have any other questions feel free to ask.

Re: Darkside501st's Iron Man Mk VII pepakura files

i have 'A' knee file... i dunno if it helps... It's the INNER ARMOR.

Be warned, however. The Model isn't perfect. If you're new to Pepping, dont try this knee.

I've tried to fix the obvious little problems, but cant.

The front of the Knee is on 1 page, The Rear is on the Other.

And i HIGHLY reccommend using an Exacto Knife, not Scissors or a Craftrobo-cutter-thing. I dont know how one of those cutter machines will react to this model.

Hey Syrus, that knee file looks pretty awesome!! Umm, quick question: What's the password to unlock it in pep designer..?

Re: Darkside501st's Iron Man Mk VII pepakura files

Inner armor pep?!? Hmmm... I think this would be better built with other materials... Sintra, ABS, etc... I have seen some guys make it out of a plastic trash can. It is much easier to build it this way... cut out the pieces, paint them (if so desired), and rivet them together. Done.

Thank you. You can use the MK VI neck as a substitute... I will be making a MK VII neck though.

I use 110lbs cardstock on my pepbuilds.

Darkside, i gotta question.

look here:

My CHEST Center Piece came up short...

Has this happened to anyone else? Is it just me?

Mabey a Pepakura Problem? Why did the CYLINDER Piece not match up to the DISCs Length?

That's odd, my piece was fine. Although it shrank a little due to my terrible gluing.

Re: Darkside501st's Iron Man Mk VII pepakura files

This is a commonly occurring problem with circles. If you don't score it 100% correctly and don't put it together 100% right, it will come out too small. From your picture it looks like you taped it, the tape may be on incorrectly.

Another thing you can try is folding/attaching it in reverse, pretty much treating the mountain folds as valley's and vice versea.

Yeah, that is weird. I have not heard of the program printing it up incorrectly. Try to print that page again

It's no biggy. I'll just cut one of my scrap pieces to fill it.

Just thought i'd point it out.

Re: Darkside501st's Iron Man Mk VII pepakura files

darkside you re doing an awesome work!

I m a real noob working with pepakura so i ve to ask a few things:

which parts are completed and that can be printed without having to resize them? ( I read that i cant print abs as they are but i have to resize them , how can i do? )

how can i flip arms and legs to have the right and left side? (i have to flip or not?)

what parts are missing for the complete armor?

thanks for the help!!

Hey Dark, if ya have the Mk VII helmet, neck and collar done, I can try my hand at unfolding them, if ya want! :D

You can see all the parts I have done on the first post. I still have to make the collar plate, neck, and modify Sharkmarks helmet. But to be honest you could just use Sharkmark's stock Mark VI helmet and Robo3687's Mark VI neck. A lot of people make the collar plate out of sintra instead of pepping it.

The only files that need to be inverted are the leg files and the hip pod. The arms are symmetrical on both sides.

You will generally always have to resize a pep file... it is just part of pepping. People just come in different shapes and sizes and it is impossible to make a pep file to fit everyone. You will have to look at the finished size of the parts and decide if it will work for you or if you need to grow it or shrink it.

Hey Dark,

Thanks bro, we would love to see some pictures when you get started.

IronLeoMan has already called dibs on unfolding the rest of the armor. Thanks though. I love the enthusiasm. ;)
