Anyone have issues with the bottom jaw portion of the helmet? I'm going the pep route and I recently finished the jaw but it seems off, not sure what i did wrong but it sits weird....it think the trouble is the grill section of the cheek and having an issue gluing/getting the piece to fit

I would like to thank Cooper32 for being a big supporter of my work and for your contributions to this project. Your name has been added to the VIP list and you will get early access to the V2 files when they are ready.

Hello together!

I really would like to thank darkside501st for all the work he is putting in this project.
Kinda funny how I ended up in this board and thread. I was simply building the JJ version of the Enterprise from Revell and found a thread here.
I read it and was ready to start building my ship, but I found some awesome Spider-Man and Batman suits around here.

Then, I ended up in this thread and learned, that it is possible to build a whole Ironman suit from, well, paper!

What can I say, I started builing my own helmet, just to test it out. Cutting and gluing was a pain in the... well, you know that!
Now I am at the fiberglass stage. Still not perfect, since I used hot glue and some of the connections broke, but I am steady getting there.

So, thanks a lot, Mr. darkside501st for not only builing these files, but also sharing them with us!

Hope I can post some pictures soon.

Regards,
Indy

Im just starting to get all the files together. Going to do a test run of helmet to see if i want to embark on a full build. Having trouble scaling helmet (using 23 for everything else) My head circumference is 56 cm is anyone could help me out I'd greatly appreciate it. Tried to use "23" on the helmet tester file but it doesn't work.

Here are my latest progress pics.
Here is the pep before resining

I cut out the ears as sylvester86's advice.

i must say, after the resin (just about to glass), that it looks the business to me.

I would have waited to cut out the eras till after the resin had cured so it wouldn't warp. So naturally I'd like to know how that worked for you ? :ninja

Made my first convention this week end. Had lots of fun with my forearm!

DevilFlash- nice work on the forearm! By the look of it, seems like you have all the Star Wars books? Excellent!

I swear this is the longest running pep file build thread I've ever seen with very little updates. I also don't see why all the protection for the files. Not allowing people to scale and edit it themselves seems a little obscene to me.:behave Are you planning on making money off these? if not I don't see whats up with all the 2 month early release to special individuals and the protected files.

Are you here to make people happy or yourself happy? Because I'm not sure how much time you've put into this is worth it.

All the other model builders just share their stuff with everyone and don't ask for anything in return but credit due.

I apologize for sounding rude or like a debbie downer. I'm trying to understand.

Mike has some stuff going on in his personal life atm. He's honoring the paid projects that he has first and has a full time job! He's working on it you can trust in that. We've been through the whole password protected stuff earlier in the thread, it's to protect his work, if you know a scale he will edit the files for you. He isn't asking for any money for them although people may donate money to him for his efforts if they wish, hence the 2 month advance on the files. Cut him some slack dude, he's doing his best :)
