Yes, I am still taking orders. There is a delay on the square wires as I posted a little while ago but I am still making claws with round wires now and then I will be making the claws with square wires in October. If you want them in time for NY ComicCon then you should jump on the September run with the round wires.

I sure will. Thanks for getting them out so quick. I didn't even think about picking them up. So used to just having everything shipped. Now to start work on the CNC cut plaque for them.

Do you have your own CNC, access to one, or are you paying a company for it? I might be interested in getting a plaque as well and there are a few other things I need to get done that I would be willing to pay for, of course. Let me know.

Good friend right down the street from me has one in his garage and a 3D printer, so I just send everything to him. He is up for just about anything, and loves scifi stuff. Just let me know what you want to get done.

Sounds great. I have not been able to do any extensive testing with the square wire yet but the idea behind it is that the square shape will prevent the wire/claw from rotating in the grip. This should give you a more steady feeling. With the round wire, the claws can rotate and therefore might feel a little less secure. I put a rubber coating on the end of the wire that helps to prevent the claws from pivoting freely and I have not had any issues with that while I was holding the claws in my hands. If you have read some of the last couple pages then you know that I had to get the square wire manufactured so there is a wait involved. If they come in on time I should still be able to get the majority, if not everyone's, claws made and sent in time for Halloween... of course that also depends on if I am shipping internationally or within the US. Do they even celebrate Halloween or something similar in Japan? Anyways, it is up to you... If you want the claws without delay then get in on the round wires (September Run), if you don't mind a little wait then go for the square wires (October Run).

Ah! I see! That makes a lot of sense to me actually...I own a pair of the claws for Origins, with the round bars holding it all together and they're secure enough as you say, but the square wires sound interesting too...They don't hurt the hand where they rest between the knuckles right? And can be bent easily into the right shape? Those were the only issues I'd assume you'd get with the square shape over the round wires....If you're fine and checked on the square wires being fine on the grip points, then I'll be ok waiting for the October ones!

Japan does celebrate Halloween, although being from London, I'd celebrate all alone if they didn't..LOL...There's no real rush though...I'd like them sooner, rather than later, but not at the expense of a slightly upgraded and better working design...So, I'm entirely open to your ideas on that..

If you think the round grips work better, then I'll sign on for the September list and pay for those please! But if, as I suspect, you've checked the issues with the square wires and find them no "issue" at all, then I'd love to be thrown onto the October/Halloween/November list please!

Yes, as you anticipated the square wire is a little tougher to bend than the round wire. That is why I had to special order the exact size I needed. All other square wire I could find was either too small or too big. As I mentioned since I have not received the new square wire I can not say for sure how it compares to the round wires as of yet. Although, I am going with the square wire in order to upgrade the design. I think that in the long run the square wires would be better. The seem like they might be uncomfortable but, even when I was using the larger square wire, they are not uncomfortable at all. It sounds to me like you want to go with the square wire so when you are ready just follow the payment instructions on the first post. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Just the initial quote which still has a little more than a week left... I will probably send them an email to see if they are still on track so I can let you guys know in case anyone wants to switch to the round wires. Stay tuned.
