@Darkside: I hope this guy hasn't come to you yet for claws or anything because right now he's in hot water. Don't know if you read this yet.

Oh man that sucks... I hate it when punks like that ruin this hobby for everyone. That guy that made the original is gonna stop making stuff now. Well, I had not sold to him. Everyone I sold to is listed in the first post. Good thing. I also got a PM from another member looking out for me. He said he thought he saw my Mk VII files on ebay. I checked the link but didn't see them so who knows. Anyways, thanks for the heads up.

Yeah, as gray as an area it may be, I don't want to see your work you started from scratch get stolen out there for other people to gain profit on, especially since you're really the first one to cast bone and 'the wolverine' claws. And especially from a guy who molds his stuff from toys...That'd just be an insult. I'll have your payment for mine claws mid May. Just kinda short on the funds right this week but will have. I'll letcha know.

Ok finished the new 'The Wolverine' claws mold... I am very very pleased with it! I put the brushed finish back on the claws and it is beautiful again. This one and the new Origins claws are the best claws I have made hands down. I made a set of the XO claws and I will be casting a set of 'The Wolverine' claws and then I will be updating the first post with some hi-res images of both of the new sets. Here are some pics of 'The Wolverine' claws I took with my phone:

Once again, awesome job. Can't really see from these pictures, but do the wolverine claws have that sharp looking blade effect along the claw like your first claws?

The top edge and the bottom edge come to a 'sharp' edge like a blade... obviously not sharp enough to cut anything. The top of the blade where it starts to curve down to the tip is flat just like the in the movie. These claws are shaped just like the movie claws. I made a set yesterday and I will try to get my wife to take some hi-res images of both sets today.

Nice ones.

Thank you... I can't wait to post the hi-res shots so you guys can really see the details. Also, after I do that and update the first post then I will start taking orders.

Awesome. If I could request a top view of the claw, we haven't seen that angle yet ;)

We took lots of pictures last night... My wife is going to edit them and then I will upload them. She will probably do the editing tonight and then I will upload them tomorrow. They look great! It was the first time I wore the new 'The Wolverine' claws. :D

They feel better than the Origin and your original ones? I assume they do.

Well, in a way yes and in another way I still like the 'Origins claws'. I will explain but first let me just say that I have fine tuned my claws to be very comfortable... this goes for both styles. Ok, so 'The Wolverine' claws don't push down on the tops of your hands at all... obviously. So after a long day at a convention you won't have the depressions in your skin and any discomfort that might accompany that side effect. Plus, since they do not have that little 'finger' sticking off the back of the claw then you don't have to worry about breaking that part off. Although, you would have to drop them from a high spot or throw them across the room to break that off and you wouldn't want to do that anyways. Now if you want a good looking set of claws that really look like they are coming out of your hands then they do need to push into your skin a little. So these claws will push into the front of your hand, how much will depend on how tight you make them.

For the 'Origins' claws that most people are familiar with... they do have the part that wraps over the knuckle and it does press down on your skin, again, how much will depend on how tight you make them. For a good convincing set of claws they will need to push down a little but if you don't want to deal with that then you can adjust the claws for a slightly looser fit. There are some obvious differences in the way that the two different styles look and feel while you are holding them so some may prefer one over the other while others may like both in a different way. The main difference between the two styles ends up being the Pro and the Con for both. See the little 'finger' part that wraps over your knuckle also helps to hold the claws in place. This makes it a little easier to grip them. By this I mean that you have to hold 'The Wolverine' claws a little tighter than you have to hold the 'Origins' claws. Over a long period of time I assume (I have not held 'The Wolverine' claws all day yet) that your hand might get tired of hold 'The Wolverine' claws so tightly. So there is a bit of a trade off I suppose. Both are excellent for their own reasons as you will see in the pictures I will be posting. I might even make a video a little later this week.

Re: Darkside501st's Metallic Cast Origins & The Wolverine Claws - Now Taking Orders

Ok, guys... the moment you have been waiting for... I have updated the first post with a full Hi-Res image gallery of each set of claws. I am now taking orders so let me know what kinds of claws you want and as you send payment I will add you to the appropriate run. I hope you guys like the new claws as much as I do.

Some things to take note of... I completely redid the first post so you may want to review it again. Much of the information is the same I just changed the wording and location of some of it. Also, the biggest change you will notice is that I am now charging separately for shipping. I have dropped the price of the claws to $80 plus shipping. I mainly did this because I have also started offering discounts but I can't discount the shipping so I have to charge separately for it.

Payment sent.

Re: Darkside501st's Metallic Cast Origins & The Wolverine Claws - Now Taking Orders

You will be getting one helluva review for me once I get mine after I pay ya. I never knew 'the wolverine' ones were sharpened on both sides. Kinda makes a lot of sense though if you think about it.
