Ok, go ahead and add me to the interest list. Flesh toned grips, please. Also, will there be an option to have these as the powder cast brushed aluminium? The "old" style that I got were over the top coolness with the brushed look.

Sure thing guys... The new 'The Wolverine' claws will also be brushed metallic powder cast as well. I am making them a little longer than the previous claws I made. I will also be remaking the Origins claws a little longer as well. Both will be about 10 inches long from the end of your hand to the tip of the blade (so in other words, not including the part that wraps over the knuckles).

Hey guys, I just wanted to post my new revamped 'Origins' claws. They are now 10" long (not including knuckle overlap). They are more accurate in shape and style than my first set. I am also going to try and make them even more reflective than before by wet-sanding the surface before making the molds. I still have a little more work to do on it but take a look at what I have so far:

Ok guys, sorry this is taking a little longer... I am taking my time cause I want these to be perfect. Sometimes you have like a small little issue like burning through the primer on one of the edges during the sanding. Anyways, I have used like a whole can of filler primer and sanded this claw down like 6 times just making sure it is perfect. I am doing the same thing with my new Origins claws.
I am done with 'The Wolverine' claw and I will be molding it this week. Take a look at the final model. Keep in mind this is primer... not metallic paint or a metallic cast claw. So as shiny as the primer looks the claws will be even shinier.
You guys will definitely have a set of claws before the premier.

I poured the molds for both claws this weekend. Gosh, the quest for perfection can be tiresome. lol I should be able to check out the molds tonight, pour a couple test claws to make sure the molds work good and then make a set of each style claws over the next couple days. So if all goes well I should have some hi-res images to show you by the end of the week.
On a side note... I have also finished the Wolverine Bone Claws and the Sabretooth Claws masters. I have already molded the bone claws and have some hi-res images posted in that thread. I am waiting on some more interest before I make molds of the Sabretooth Claws. I want to make sure that I will be able to recoup the expense of the molding and casting supplies. I am offering combined shipping and a 5% discount on additional orders if you decide to get more than one set of claws in any combination of style. Discounts will be taken off the lower valued merchandise.

I did a couple test casts on the new molds. Now I wish I would have just done one at a time. The smoother surface lost the brushed look. That is not something I anticipated since I could still see a bit of a brushed look on the masters. The brushed texture just wasn't deep enough anymore and the powder covered the whole surface. Anyways, it is kind of technical but it is not really any shinier, there is just more of the surface being covered by the silver powder. I will be adding more of a brushed texture back into the masters and then casting them again. What a waste of materials, lol. Oh well, live and learn.
