Well, every cast will have some flashing anytime you have a two part mold. If you are getting pits or globs on the cast then there are most likely some imperfections in the mold. This could be due to the type of silicone that was used because a lot of silicones require a vacuum pump to remove the air trapped in the silicone. You may have to make a new mold with a silicone that is designed for use without a vacuum pump.

If you are getting shinny circular 'holes' in the cast then you are getting air trapped while you are pouring the resin. You can try to pour at a different angle so that the resin 'rolls/runs' down the top of the claw to the bottom and then fills the mold from the bottom - up.

My questions now are how do you paint your claws and is it possible that the silicone mold can get cooked from the heat of the resin when it curing? coz i think my mold is changing shape a little bit. Btw,i made a new silicone mold. I think the result is better than the picture i sent you.

PS - Soon, I will be posting some tips on how to keep your claws looking and working like new. Also, I am going to have to make a new mold before I can do any more orders. I will be posting an update on that soon. I am also planning on finishing my bone claws and making a mold for those at the same time.
