That is strange... did you check through the package to make sure it wasn't somewhere in there? If it somehow fell off the grip before I wrapped it up I do apologize. If you need to get another one then I got these from Ace Hardware and they are 6-32 machine thread nuts. Any 6-32 machine thread nut should fit... the size is pretty standard. I would be more than happy to work with you for the trouble and the cost of replacing the nut. Send me a PM if you want to talk about that.

cant wait till mine are done

I finished a set of your claws this weekend... the second set you ordered should be done soon and then I will ship them out.

If/when ya do the next run, I would love a set.

Sure I will add you to the interest list for the next run. Thanks.

Awesome... they look great! Those are some good pics too.

On a side note... One of the things I heard quite often when I was looking at making these claws is that a lot of people were saying that all the claws they have tried are uncomfortable and hurt their hands. That is one of the major objectives I had with these claws... I wanted to make them comfortable to wear. So maybe some of you folks that have gotten my claws can provide some feedback on whether or not you think they are comfortable to wear/hold. Thanks.

Are you just referring to minor imperfections in the surface of the casting or some other issue like trapped air bubbles? Are there any visible imperfections in the surface of the mold? What products did you use for the mold and casting?

Yes. The minor image imperfections. But seems major. Yours seem like you dont need to clean it up that much. Im using silicone rubber for 2 part mold and resin for casting. Im new at this. I just watch some youtube videos to learn how to do it.

Well, every cast will have some flashing anytime you have a two part mold. If you are getting pits or globs on the cast then there are most likely some imperfections in the mold. This could be due to the type of silicone that was used because a lot of silicones require a vacuum pump to remove the air trapped in the silicone. You may have to make a new mold with a silicone that is designed for use without a vacuum pump.

If you are getting shinny circular 'holes' in the cast then you are getting air trapped while you are pouring the resin. You can try to pour at a different angle so that the resin 'rolls/runs' down the top of the claw to the bottom and then fills the mold from the bottom - up.

I hope that helps, good luck.

Without seeing it in person I couldn't say what the issue is.
