Dalek Head found in pond

Fifth of the Cult of Skaro: Dalek Thay, Dalek Jast, Dalek Caan, Dalek Sec, and Dalek Muck.

Har har har....:rolleyes

The British have a habit of dumping things into ponds when they are done for some reason. Would explain the missing sonic screw drivers.
That's what happened with DeLorian car dies, the fools. Makes sense if the BBC was involved.

:lol

Thats realy awsome! I think it proboly would of scared me to death seeing it rise out of the water though. :lol

:lol

Not to mention the end of Le Morte D'Arthur :lol

That is awsome!!!. It is too bad they do not show a photo of it cleaned up so we can tell what color it is. It may give a clue from what season it may be from if it does turn out to be an original.

I know nothing about Dr Who, but is it possible that its actually the same "found part" that they used for Dalek and not an actual prop?

Word on the street is that its a hoax perpatrated by a known who collector that owns a news photo agency( the head is a fan build), maybe it got released a month early instead of its April 1st target.:lol

If i suddenly found a dalek head floating to the top of a pond i would crap myself... those things can be scary. :)

If the head were from a Screen used prop it would probably be worth quite a bit, but as its a fan build, which the owner decided wasny worth continuing with, and phoned the local paper to stage a "pond find" its worthless.

I thought the BBC Daleks were accounted for.
I agree I'll bet it's a fan made prop.

It's possible it could have been stolen, and pitched in a pond for future retrieval. Only the thief couldn't find it.

Or something much worse, it was dumped because of a spouse.
(You guys fill in the rest).

There was a Doctor Who exhibition of props and costumes at Beaulieu many years ago, IIRC. I wonder what else is in there...a Sea Devil perhaps? :lol

Are you thinking of the exhibition at Longleat house perhaps? that was destroyed by a fire a while back, I live about 10 minutes from Beaulieu so I'm going down there with my diving gear first thing tomorrow :lol

You'd think if you found any Who props it would be in a quarry somewhere, with all the filming the old show did in them.

Hey everyone, sorry about resurrecting a dead thread, but did anything else ever turn up about this particular Dalek?

I'd like to know too. I saw on the dalek builder forum that it turned out to be a hoax. But I'd still love to own that head. I think it would make an awesome display all merky and rusted. Like an actual artifact:)
