D.C.'s Supergirl (tv series)

So what did you guys think of the finale? Any speculations on the cliffhanger?

Here's my guess:

Not sure how it's spoilery really but whatever...

Her mom popped into my mind from the number of references to her in the episode. She seemed to recognize whoever it was and i think that'd make it a short list of candidates

"The season finale of “Supergirl” recorded its lowest 18-49 rating of the season, 1.2 (-0.1 vs. last week), on a down night for CBS and the broadcast networks

in general. “Scorpion” (1.5) and “NCIS: Los Angeles” (1.2) were also off a tenth.

If it comes back, what a season 2 may bring....

at this rate, it doesn't look good.

It's a shame. I like the cast. Even Not Jimmy Olsen Jimmy Olsen.

But it got off on the wrong foot from the start. I still haven't seen the finale, or the gender bended bizarro episode.

I stuck through ten years of smallville hoping it'd get good and reach it's potential, only to be let down every step of the way. mostly because i liked the cast..
I can't do that with another series... ;o)

Wow, if they hadn't put in that last 30 seconds, I would have said they were for sure wrapping up the series. I'm wondering if they didn't do that thinking there wouldn't be a season two. Because without that last bit, they could have ended the whole show right there.

I hope it gets a soft reboot.

drop the girl power stuff. drop the cat social justice speeches, and you might get me back to check it out again.
oh and drop the real world references.

Myriad was goofy for the cat stuff, but the harrison joke was funny. should have gone one step further and said 'especially when his wife is so hot..shame on him'.

The finale and the way they stopped myriad reminded me instantly of a 4 Kids TMNT Episode, where April and Serling used a pre programed memory weapon to jog happy memories inside the brainwashed turtles. The memories where custom to each turtle... Leo's key to breaking the brain washing was thinking of ninjitsu, and Splinter. Don was tech. Mikey was goofing off, and Raph was bashing mikey's head into a cake. wonder if the writer of this episode is a fan....because the news desk also reminded me of the classic channel 6 design that had not so much two earths on it's wall, but the earth separated into two parts

Also, this romance triangle... ENOUGH. I got worn out to death with that on smallville. I don't need to see it again.
Poor Wynn IS the guy for kara, but because in girl power shows, they feel women want to see the girl g et the hot stud, poor wynn gets all the emotional turn down moments. I think kara and 'jimmy' have no chemistry but her and wynn do.

The other thing that bothers me is this 'kat is a good role mode'. so basically it's saying to girls watching the show, find the bossiest succesful women you know, suck up to her, maybe she'll like you and treat you well, and then she's a GREAT mentor and GREAT woman because she's in power....and worked her way up from nothing...sigh..

It'd be nice if this gets a second season, for it to fix all that is wrong with season 1, because the potential for fun is there.

what would we do without twitter for news? (can't believe i just said that)

CW apparently gets super girl for season 2. makes more sense than WB.

Hopefully they can soft reboot it a little and fix what was wrong with season 1.

so, i finally watched the last half of the finale.

The wrap up of everyone after the fortress gets pushed off into space read like a bad fan fic ending. general lane does a complete 180 from **** ant to 'yo go supergirl', everyone suddenly loves j'onn all of a sudden..

All it was missing was wally and the beaver walking in and some 50's happy music. it was the most over the top scene in the series.

This series will have to be really good it's first two episodes in with a major shift in pace to win me back. Unlike AJ, I think it had a terrible first season, with only two or three episodes that felt like they nailed it.

I also wish they'd drop this kara and 'jimmy' romance plot. no chemistry and it's just cringeworthy.

How to win people back to your struggling series. B ring in Superman.

ugh.

I'm a firm believer in super girl, but apparently the producers of this show where not. they had to keep on dangling superman in front of us in stupid ways, rather than let super girl stand on her own for a full season.

better let tom welling suit up again.

They're kind of in a 'damned if you do, damned if you don't' situation with Superman imo...

You'll have the camp where "Supergirl should be able to stand on her own!" and you'll have the other camp where "It's stupid that Superman is never around when cataclysmic events are going on"...

I actually think it's smart to get the elephant out of the room and deal with it and move on....
