D.C.'s Supergirl (tv series)

By that logic, no heroes should have their own stand-alone comics because other heroes could come in and assist. I think this will be fine; far better than the logical gymnastics they had to do in order to keep him out of the narrative altogether.

Which is true on at least big things, any time some monster is attacking New York City, every single superhero in New York should be there. There's no reason they shouldn't be. In fact, it's hard to justify why they don't show up when their city is in danger, or especially when the whole planet is in danger, why wouldn't they be there?

Maybe they're responding to another crisis somewhere or... oh, I don't know...having a life.

ugh. it looks like a cheap halloween costume at that angle.

I liked the promo shot a little better.

If you have ten heroes with the power of superman, why do you need all 10? ;o)

That only works when you don't have a huge number of heroes in the same proximity, which Marvel clearly does in New York and DC is setting up on TV. You're just trying to rationalize away what most people have recognized for decades.

Because it sells more comics?

I'm not a fan of any of the modern Supes suits so I just have to let that go. They modernize them far too much and they are busy and noisy in my view. It looks like they rolled over him with a waffle iron.
And I prefer "shorts" rather than the New52 spawned look.

But again, I have to move on from it, not gonna get my way.

Couple BTS images from current season of Supergirl in Production in Vancouver. Looks a lot better than the promotional stuff. It'll be fine.
The cape flaps things and the shield look cheap as heck though, like it was made from vinyl tablecloth or something like that. And the S looks like a bad faded print. But physically he looks better in these, so there is that... But honestly it's how he looks on screen that will really matter, so waiting to see that.

The first picture looks way better. I guess it's all about angles and lighting. The second one the uniform isn't even fitting him right... it's like it's stretched out in the neck or something.
The cape flaps look cool from the side angle but look kind of dumb in the front angle. Same with the suit . The paneled assembly looks cool from the side but it just looks like inside out stitching from the front. I'm not crazy about the guy playing him either. He looks about as cheesy as the guy(s) that played Superboy in the 1990's series.

He may grow on me. Or not.

Now that's just a weird sight :

Jimmy is like a head taller and more muscular than the Man of Steel himself, that's what weird !

Eh, he's a Kryptonian. Their strength is not linked to the musculature they possess (otherwise Clark's pinky would be about the size of the solar system).

Basically, a Kryptonian can have the physique of McLovin and still be able to bench press a planet.

Flashpoint Paradox aside, the guy still looks too puny.

Been rewatching season 1 on CW. Damn, the picture quality of CW is awful! I got used to watching this show on CBS in hi-def. It looks like crap on CW. I sure wish CW would get a hi-def channel.

The CW is available in 720p HD and been since 2012. Their website offers streaming at 2100 kbps... which is subpar. Of course, it is available to buy on iTunes and Amazon and the like - which might be why they're only streaming some episodes at a lower bitrate (buy the bluray and you can stream from Ultraviolet).

The new DEO Headquarters was just finished, and it looks freaking amazing. I haven't watched season 1 yet but i will to get ready for season 2 in October. Tyler Harron is Production Designer, he is also responsible for Flash. The set was his baby.
