Cylon Tanker Part Maps

Hi Guys. I've been inspired by Sean's Cylon Tanker, to get back to work on mine.
I posted these maps over at Studio Scale Modelers, a while back. I'm hoping some
of the Guru's here can help ID some or all of the remaining ID's. I appreciate any help, Cheers,

Joe

P.S. The first 3 pictures are of Jim C's great model. The bottom pics are the original studio model.

There are a few parts missing from the bottom picture. There's a fender assy from the Tamiya 88mm. You can see this in Sean's Tanker Model. There are also two tower looking
parts on either side of the bottom rear. These can also be seen on Sean's model.

I hope these maps will be of help to anyone building this beasty. Thanks for any help, :)

Sweet! Ive started collecting kits for this and I've molded my wostok parts for the sides. The only problem with them is that the glue that came with the model leaked and pitted the parts. Bondo is cheaper than multiple wostoks though.

Thanks Man, Hope it's helpful to everybody. I also hope we get some ID's on it as well, :) Come on Guy's you have to know some of the remaining parts. Help a brother out ! Cheers,

Joe

P.S. I'm really curious about #10 On the bottom rear. Is that some tiny airplane fuse. That freaky little bugger has bothered me since I first saw the picture.

It's very close to the main section of the Airfix Bloodhound missile, but doesn't seem to be a match. Maybe some similar kit?

Or a very small SR-71! :confused

Yea it's close to the bloodhound, but not close enough, :) It's one weird little kit, whatever it is, Cheers,

Joe

Julien Thanks for that one Mate ! How did I miss that one, LOL. I knew we'd get you over to the Galactica I'Ds eventually, :) Cheers,

Joe

You're welcome Joe !
Hehe yeah sometimes we miss some of the easiest parts ! :lol
Unfortunatly there are too many kits specific to Galactica that I dont know :( I wish I could be of more help :(

Thanks man, great pictures. You can never have too many. I hope we can get these maps fleshed out. I've looked at them for hours and hours. Hopefully someone with new eyes can help find some more of these parts. I won't say I won't find more of them, but until I get some more kit's, I'll need help, :) Cheers,

Joe

On Bottom,
11 - pretty sure it is in the Stasbourg or Dunkerqe decking
12 and 13 - I think the correct ones are in the JPS kit
14 is the Fujimi 1/48 F-15
15 - I think it was in the Has. Yamato? or maybe the Big Yamato (found after I scratched mine)
23 - pretty sure in the railgun
18 - 88mm
23 - Pretty sure it's in the railgun
29 and 30 are same part - either in the 88mm or the 8rad

Rear Section (1st Pic)
15 - Tirpitz
28 - Railgun

Rear Section (2nd Pic)
9 - Tirpitz
16 - SatV
17 - 88mm
25 - 88mm

I think a couple are confusing as they are duplicated in different angles.

I'll try to get back and remember some more soon.

Wow, you really took a bite out of that one, LOL. Thanks so much Sean , You rock ! I love doing maps, but the always bug me when they have so many holes, :) I'll put in the new ID's. And then I'll have to go shopping for a few more kits, Cheers,

Joe

#29 and 30 are actually one part from the Flakvierling38 :)

There you go again Julien, getting all in the Galactica business, I love it ! When you finish your Star Destroyer, I'll have to come visit. My girlfriend wants to visit France. So I'll tell her that's why were going, ;) I'd bring a bottle of wine, but you guys are supposed to have the good stuff, LOL

Cheers,

Joe

Thanks for starting this thread, and since I have some of these kits already why not save up a few more. Now to find someone to build it, but lets collect all the parts 1st before I get ahead of myself.

You're quite welcome, :) It's been over at the SSM for a while. I figured the more eyes the merrier. Already getting a lot of good ID's. Thanks to everyone helping. Cheers,

Joe

Hi Guys, I made a PDF of the Cylon Tanker Kit List. It's just like the one for the Galactica, only a lot shorter, :) I'm missing two kit scans. If anyone has them, please post them and I'll add them to the list. Also if anyone knows of any kits that need to be added, let me know, Cheers,

Joe
