Part from Cylons Basestar and Gun Turret ?

Hi does anyone know which kit the "waffle" part comes from. I used to know it, but age has deleted that file, from my brain pan, ; )

It looks like an elevator from a carrier kit, but forget which one.

The original uses the 1/700 Hasegawa Akagi. This seems to be a replica using a scratch-built reproduction of the actual part (in fact ALL of the parts are scratched interpretations of the actual kit parts).

Yeah thats a guy out of Germany. Pretty talented to scratch build that.

I would love to find that part too!
It was used on the side of the Galactica blasters, and there is also one stuck on the side of the 8 foot Star Destroyer.

It should look more like this. 1/700 Akagi, Prince of Wales, Junyo, and Gneisenau gets it done.

amazing to think they (apogee) just stuck all these parts on a slab of clay then molded it.
