Customised Toy Story figures - Mr P.H., Chatter Phone, Troikas, Troll, Zurg, Monkey

I've recently been sucked into the world of collecting movie accurate, "lifesize" Toy Story figures (Damn you and your collection pics Funky Jedi! :angry:lol) and wanted a good Mr Potato Head.

Problem is that I live in the UK and the Toy Story figure prices are sky high over here (£45 for a Toy Story Collection Buzz or Woody!). The new talking Mr Potato Head (that actually looks like the character in the movie) is £40 - and I refuse to pay that for something that is going to sit on display.

So I got the regular Mr Potato Head (£10 - much better price!) and sculpted (if you can really call it that given the simplicity of the shapes) him new eyes, eyebrows, nose, moustache and mouth.....

So, a comparison.... First the great new talking Mr Potato Head (which I love, but the eyes are still too close together and have the eyeborows joined to them):

There are admittedly still bits that annoy me with it, but it will have to do for now....

I found the Aliens 3 pack at Toys r us for 30 US and the individuals were $9.99 at Target. I took pics of all of them but can't seem to get pics to load. I couldn't find Hamm.

TS seems to be a big hit both sides of the pond, i agree that the prices in UK are barbaric and they need to come down but at the end of the day its TS! its worth it but prices still high :/

I think hamm is as disney store thing ..but not sure. will be heading that way this weekend and will see what they are running

Yeah, the resin Hamm bank was a Disney Store exclusive. It was listed on their site for a while apparently, but is now permenently marked Out of Stock on the site - though actual stores may still be getting replenished. He may be up very high (some stores put him on the very top shelves because kids kept playing with him and breaking it).

I really want the set of 3 aliens, but they're not out in the UK stores and all the ones available on eBay are between £40-£63 shipped! :eek I don't even care if they don't have the box (I guess it would reduce shipping costs). I'm happy to pay $30 for the set of three (plus shipping) if someone can help me out....

Even the plush peas-in-a-pod - that sold for $5 in US Disney stores - are £20 on eBay! :confused The prices here are crazy. :cry

Anyway, continuing the TS custom theme, next on the block will be a TS1 Troll who needs a bikini and blue eyes, the TS1 Troika nesting eggs that need painted from scratch and a TS3 Ken (couldn't find a vintage Animal Lovin' Ken so went for one of his other outfits - Cool Times Ken) who needs his hair colour changed.

Well when I get back over to (1hr away)Toys r Us I will pick up the 3 pack and if they don't have it then if it's ok I will pick up the 3 individuals. Do you want me to take them out of the box and flatten them/it so you can still have it?

I was lucky enough to get my Hamm bank when the Disney Store still had them in stock - this was back during the beginning of the theatrical release of TS3. Not sure if they are still available in store...
I've wanted to modify my Thinkway Potato head to be more accurate, but haven't the time.
Would anyone offer an upgrade kit for this toy?

The Hamm bank is ridiculously high state side now, I've seen them go on ebay for around $100 (sold in stores for $20). I've been following a few of the Toy forums lately as well and there are a number of people there who created and sold upgrade parts for the regular potato head as they did not like all the voice and pop out features of the electronic version, I'll have to go back and search but I'll see if I can find the sites and posts.


As for the Hamm, I must have scoured for weeks and went to 6 different disney stores here in the bay area in California and central valley and was lucky enough to find only one that the store was using as a paperweight on their printer. Since there was no tag, I asked the manager about it and bought it for $15. Be careful if you try to find them in store or online though, they are notorious for cracks on the feet area as the ones I found in stores were always cracked or completely missing chunks of the resin.

I'm not bothered about boxes at all - every toy is coming out of the box anyway and the boxes will be binned/recycled. Thanks for your help guys.

I've spent the past couple of days reading through the replica thread on the Pixar Planet forum - I'm up to page 136 of 178! :confused An upgrade eye kit was made for the electronic Mr P - but that was made by the infamous Tyler H before he got banned for scamming people.

I'm looking for the Woody's roundup packages if you happen to have them . I want to do the woody standee and a few other items with the woody's roundup logo. I need a good scan so I can replicate it though illustrator. The woody package has the great full sized woody on the back that I want to add the bottom part to and blow up for a standee

it's all over but I'm not trying to buy them because they are the pricey ones. there's a woody, jessie and bullseye with the package of " woody's roundup". I am working on some of the background props like the record player and other items for Al's collection . I need the packages or just scans from someone
